Thank God El Tepayec is GONE . New place El Rey is amazing. Food Very good. Prices Very good . Pozole is very Tasty . I would recommend if your in the Area Stop in. We are Definitely coming Back.
The food was really good 👍 we had the albondigas soup and was not disappointed 🙌 the rice that came with it was very flavorful and the meat to veggies ratio was perfect. Also had a few tacos carnitas chorizo and asada and all were really good the chorizo especially had a lot of flavor with a little spice at the end but if you don't like spice maybe this one isn't for you. Asada was good but the carnitas were nicely done not that usual overly greasy type of carnitas. This one was clean and flavorful. I can't wait to come back for the menudo
Awesome family felt Mexican restaurant. Reminds me of my own family cooking & gathering. Great menu with tradition Mexican plates to choose from. I Will definitely be coming back to support this Christian family establishment. Like my family they are also from Michoacán México. Support Hispanic owned businesses!!
This place is a 5 star easily without even thinking about it.The worker at register he was friendly and welcoming.Gave suggestions of popular meals.The food was tasty and big portions.Also the inside and outside is very modern and clean.This is a must eat at place if your in the area.
I had a great experience at this restaurant … I highly recommend . From walking in the door and being greeted. The service was wonderful. Meal was served hot and an excellent taste.
This place serves the Best albóndigas. Just like something your grandma makes. Its very comforting and full of so much flavor. The place is clean. The plates come out looking pretty fancy. I will keep coming back to support this business.
Service is fast, fresh ingredients, lots of parking, reasonable prices and amazing food! Everything was delicious. Their tacos are my thing right now so I get one of each and they are on point with fresh tortillas, flavorful red and green salsa both bring the right amount of heat. Al pastor, carne asada, carnitas and even the pollo have the perfect ration of onion/cilantro to meat and are all well seasoned filling the tortilla perfectly. Thanks for opening close to work. How about another location closer to home? Buena Park deserves some El Rey love too.
The food is amaze, especially the tamales. Irene’s customer service was great- she was so welcoming and efficient. The place is super homey and clean inside. Definitely recommend!

Crunchy shrimp tacos were incredible. Shrimp was crispy but not burnt, and had no heavy oil flavor. The sauce was *chefs kiss* husband had chicken enchiladas with spicy green sauce. Such diverse flavors between the two meals! We'll be back for sure!
We use to go to their old location I'm Whittier. Different vibe but same great food.
Service was quick and attentive.
