El Rancho Motel - Extended stay hotel in Lewiston - 2240 3rd Ave N, USA

Its an older hotel that needs to be remodeled but you're also not paying top dollar. Price is fair on the place.

While wandering the Palouse, southeast Washington, for a day road-trip, I found myself in Lewiston as the sun was going down. Time to roll the dice for somewhere to stay! And the dice came up El Rancho Motel, a little mom n' pop place just off US 12 in Lewsiton, ID.||||For staters, it's a solid price. On the Fourth of July weekend, right in the middle of summer, the room only cost me slightly south of 60 bucks. Very reasonable - oh, and be sure to mention your AAA membership.||||The motel is very centrally located, just across from a Chinese restaurant, kitty corner from a couple of mini-marts and just a few minutes from downtown Lewiston.||||The lady who checked me in was super friendly and helpful, making sure the room met my expectations, that everything was a-okay, and even brought me a towel when I was in the pool.||||By the way, they have a pool. Nothing too fancy, but still very fun. I haven’t been swimming at my motel in ages! ||||The internet was very strong, with no problems streaming whatsoever and there were plenty of plugs for electronics. I kind of wish there were more lights, but I like my rooms bright.||||The television was on the small side, about the size of my computer monitor at home. But then why the hell are you watching television while you are traveling? Also, the room comes with a microwave and fridge.||||The water pressure in the shower was very solid, so no complaints there. The shower head, however, was really freaking low. I'm a moderately tall dude, so I had to bend over to wash my hair.||||Yes, yes - all of this is nice, but how was the bed and was the room quiet? The bed was nice and firm and comfortable. The pillows were massive and plentiful.||||The room was very quiet. Being a block away from Highway 12, you could almost hear some road noise, but US12 quieted down later in the evening, so no big deal there.||||The only point of concern - and this was pretty minor - was that the door only had a chain instead of the big safety bar, and there's no peep-hole. The neighborhood is nice enough, so it's probably not a big idea, but someone traveling alone might take precautions. ||||No, it's not a super fancy motel, but its quiet and clean and a good quality for your money. I have no issues here!

This is a nice budget motel located right off of the highway entering Lewiston. It's an older place but well kept with new paint, new carpet, etc. The price per night was a bargain considering that wifi worked, rooms were clean, and management is very nice. Best budget motel in Lewiston

The room was ok. The pool was not available which was an issue since we had our 2 young grandkids with us and it was very hot outside. There was a swing set for them to play on but it was way to hot to sit outside for them to play on.

I have been staying here for a couple of weeks now, and this motel is very quiet and the rooms are very clean! Never have I seen or heard of any problems! I would highly recommend it, if your looking for a clean and quiet room! P.S. They are selective on who they rent to, so it is not a party hotel. Also it is very well lit up, which makes me feel comfortable!!!

Owner managed, this is a middle-aged property that has been and continues to be meticulously managed and maintained. Not only are you greeted warmly, you will be provided every concession and convenience possible.||Competitively priced for this market it is wonderfully located.||Exceptionally clean.

Great price, very clean, front desk staff vey friendly and accommodating. The other people that stayed there looked a bit sketchy and was a little worried about it while taking my dog out. The guys on the second floor kept staring at me. Door does not appear that it is properly secure.

The bad: The El Rancho is pretty funky and run down. It's also not well insulated from the noise of the nearby highway and the air stinks because of the nearby pulp mill. The $60 cost would get a much nicer room in most other places. Wouldn't have even considered going there had it not been for the high ratings of the previous four reviews. ||The good: The front desk clerk was friendly.
