Went to brunch there with friends from out of town. Food was so great, HUGE portions and a lot of options. Everything was delicious and our server was great and attentive! We sat outside which was so nice because there was a covered space and it was rainy out. So rare to be able to sit outside in the rain so that was fun. The prices were also so great, Bloody Mary’s and mimosas for $5 is unbeatable
This restaurant is a hidden gem! My wife and I went there a few weeks ago and and we weren't impressed! It felt like the bartender was ignoring us. The 2nd visit, however, was the polar opposite! The bar maid named Lyric went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience! Nice music, boss atmosphere and, (because of Lyric and Amy), the customer service was top notch!!!
Food and drinks were both good. Onions were supposed to be pickled and weren't. Big disappointment. You know when you're mouth is ready to experience something you read on the menu and it sounds great and then No.
Definitely recommend! We’ve been coming here for 6 years. Started out great and had dipped in 2021/2022/early 2023. Initially assumed Covid issues but issues persisted. This place has turned a corner! The menu was more focused, the tequila menu is back, the food was delicious, and service was phenomenal. They do specials during Philly sports games and were knowledgeable about the food and drink menu. I am back to recommending El Poquito!
I came in for happy hour. It was pretty empty here hem I arrived. I asked for a table outside. It was a beautiful day so being outside was our only reason for visiting. I was told it would be about ten minutes. I sat at the bar & ordered drinks. Checked back several times…An hour later I was told to stay at the bar because they wouldn’t be able to accommodate us. I wish I had known that in the beginning so I could have gone elsewhere The drinks I had (blood orange margaritas) were good. Food was decent (tortilla soup, chips & queso, braised beef tacos). The corn wasn’t as good as it was in the past. Tasted like canned corn with a few seasonings. Apparently they were short staffed. Next time I’ll try a different spot.
The food at El Poquito is delicious (can't go wrong with the guac!) And there's plenty of foods and drinks to match any diet - we went with a vegetarian and someone who is gluten-free and there was tasty food for all. Also the manager Amy is so kind to all the guests and you can tell that she is helpful to the staff because one a busy night when we were there, she was in the throws of it with all the servers and bartenders helping out!
Did ownership change? It used to be so good! We went and it was terrible. Margaritas are now premade and sickly sweet. The food was really bland. They restricted where dogs can sit outside now. So different than the previous years we’ve been coming. SAD.
Girls night out! Its been a while since I visited this Chestnut Hill staple, and I was surprised by the menu changes they made. The wings used to be a dry rub, that I was actually looking forward to. But the Valentina sauce wasn’t a disappointment, it just tasted more like buffalo sauce than anything, but definitely more messy than I wanted. I ordered a blood orange margarita only to find out they were out of frozen mix. It was 6:30 on a Saturday night…What?!…Lets just say the margaritas were not giving what they could have. The chicken Tinga bowl is always a winner, especially when paired with the side of black beans.
All in all, great night!

This is a small place that only takes cash but there is great service here and quality food. I ordered an appetizer for the table of brisket tortas, which were tender and flavorful then I got the blue tacos. They are pork, pineapple, onion, green pep
I knew this spot had some tasty tacos, but the gigantic pollo cemita that I enjoyed a couple days ago blew my mind! The sandwich was stacked high on a toasted roll and included a generous portion of tender pollo milanese, a mass of snappy Oaxaca che
Wow! I no longer have to trek down into South Philly for authentic Mexican food!
The flavors were authentic. Generous portions. Really loved the beef tongue tacos. The consomme on my friend's plate was delicious - i think i stole half of it during

I love the variation of flavors the taco menu was! We ordered the Korean BBQ, Grilled Salmon, Beef, and Chorizo tacos and each was flavorful. The Viet coffee was also a cool drink during the hot summer day. I'd come back to try again one day when I h
Tacos are just one per order so make sure you order a few. Short rib is the best in my opinion. They also have margaritas. Take note of the specials depending on the day, could be half off margaritas or $2 chicken tacos or something else...
yikes ! I probably stole the recipe for nacho fries ð¬ . However , they exceeded my expectations on food, atmosphere, and customer service. Iâll probably order food from them once a month. From the Tacos , The Mexican nacho fries I enjoyed everyt
Nice little restaurant/bar near downtown Philly. Amazing Mexican dishes at a surprisingly reasonable price if you come during happy hours (Tuesday afternoon if Iâm not mistaken). Their churros with caramel dipping were totally awesome. Also great a
Had a great weekday happy hour dinner here. Portions were on the smaller side, but the prices were great, so easily compensated with ordering one extra order. Small dish of the day was a chorizo quasadilla which was fantastic. I've had better tacos,
A unique hotel with history and a very nice decor to enhance any stay while traveling. We stayed there for a couple days during the New Year's Holiday and had a wonderful experience. Great location in the middle of the city, safe and close to everyth
Coffee here was amazing! The iced latte was great! The black coffee was something else! So fruity and aromatic - truly a great experience! Very much recommended getting their beans too!
A must stop if you are in Philly!!! Kevin's creations are incredibly delicious. Put down the cheese steak and go grab some tasty vegan, gf and dairy free options. Dessert=a meal. Back-to-back visits made us super fans!!! Pls open up a place in J-
Joined on a student membership for the summer and really enjoyed my experience. All the trainers were highly knowledgeable (and incredibly athletic) and made sure everyone felt welcome in the gym. When I was dealing with a shoulder injury, they were
