El Palomino Motel - Motel in Fort Collins - 1220 N College Ave, USA

**See bottom of post for edit** Stay away from this motel unless you are a drug user or dealer. I have been at this motel since 2021, and this motel has gone so downhill in the last 1-2 years. Current managers only pander to you if you're on drugs or sell. You're lucky if you don't get yelled at about how they 'Hate their job' or witness them kicking motel equipment across the parking lot. That's if someone is even in the office. The vast majority of the time, no one is in there, and the door is locked. They leave notes on the door, but they are never where the note says they will be. I'm sorry but if you can't handle people asking you for towels or toilet paper, you shouldn't be in a customer service job, much less in charge of a business where hospitality is literally your job! There's been 3-4 changes of management in the last 2 years, each worse than the last. What is the owner thinking? Where is he even finding these people? My home (the motel, not my actual room) is literally being turned into a huge drug den because the managers don't like or want to call the cops (I wonder why) and honestly the managers don't really do anything to stop the issue. Oh! Also, if you don't do drugs or don't do illegal activities, they will sit there and spy on you. You want to have a conversation with someone? Nope, here comes the male manager standing there listening to what you're saying, even though you are doing nothing wrong. They don't do that to the drug users though. This has happened on multiple occasions. Which is so backwards. Like watch the people you should be watching, not harass someone who is literally doing nothing wrong. I have had to pay money that managers have stolen even though I had the receipts showing that I already paid for my room in full. This has happened on 2 different occasions. The manager at the time tried to do it more than that, but I wasn't having it. There is literally so much more I can say about everything going on here. I used to love this place, and now it's just depressing, over run with drugs, and falling apart. I wish the owner would actually find people who are willing to do the job correctly and give this place the attention it deserves, but it doesn't seem like that will happen anytime soon. And the owner wonders why people who were paying customers for a decent amount of time aren't paying anymore. It's because of your staff and how this place is being run into the ground. **Edit 9/3** Also, you can't post an honest review without being harrassed by management about having a supposed drug problem. I don't do any illegal drugs (weed is legal and I haven't even been doing that), I don't even drink, and I can prove so at any time. Can your staff say the same thing?

The motel it's self is vintage in a Dusk Till Dawn kind of way. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and hospitable. They always go the extra mile for guests regardless of the request. The rooms are dated but being renovated. The mix of old cabin feel and 1960's Highway motel is quite unique. If you want a decent place to stay with staff that treats you more like family than guests I recommend the El Palomino.

The people are amazing. They do what no one else does. The owner should get a. State voucher. For support of housing.. They need help and they could fix the rooms to standard condition. They are lacking and $$$$would be able to fix them. But they were very kind to me and my kitty.

This place is an absolute gem. I found out I have a roommate, Mr. Mouse was hangin out with me, i fed him some cheese and we snuggled up warm to the sound of shouting drug users outside my room, the other residents are absolutely a delight when they are having Jerry Springer themed screaming matches at 1 am. The courtyard has an unsettling atmosphere that really makes me feel completely unsafe at all times of the day or night. The same feeling that you get when you walk home at night and your hair is standing on end. Overall, i would recommend 10/10. Also, the bike rack is complete comedic gold. Take a gander at it.👌

Stay away!!! Tweakers and blue addicts run this place. Seems like it's ok to use drugs there but a single father trying to get his son back who has paid this place over 15,000 in 8 months doesn't matter. Owner is named Han he also owns the heritage inn in Greeley also another crack head motel

A great place to stay! Fair pricing and clean rooms, staff is very considerate and courteous. Sierra specifically was extremely nice and very professional!! Would recommend!!!

one of 2 queen beds were not cleaned, missing TV remote, gang tags on the doors and walls, and homeless who will knock on your door to asl for money or illicit substances… and last but not least there is a shower curtain that is so translucent and clean that it practically isnt even there!!!! but what you expect for a lil over $60 and cheap weekly rates if needed. most definitely have been in worse but definitely been in better.
