Very well maintained. On the east side behind the playground is a natural habitat that you can walk on the trails and watch and see rabbits. A lot of coyote tracks chasing the rabbits so be forwarded. Winter months you don't have to worry too much about snakes .
Beautiful park. Lots of open space, playground for kids, and lots of trees. There's also a pollinator garden you can stroll through. The bike path on the south side runs from Juan Tabo along the park down to Morris. Walking path surrounds the whole park. Great place to walk your dogs (on leash, of course). Each lap around the park is ~1/2 a mile. You can walk up the hill on the east side of the park and watch the sunset & see the city lights. Also gives a great view of the Sandias from the top of the hill. If you play Pokémon Go, there's 3 Gyms & 10-12 Pokestops at this park.
Nice park with trails up the foothills and along the diversion channel, bring a warm jacket for the wind. Two playgrounds and covered seating near by to watch the kids. Huge grass area with trees on north and south sides, gorgeous mountain view and a native plant garden to check out. Great starting point for a bike ride in the foothills.
My 2nd favorite park. Tennis courts, basketball court, playground, seats, and lots of shade parts to sit on. Dog friendly, but keep doggies on a leash b/c dog friendly doesn't mean they always want to be friends that day.
beautiful park!!!...nice walking trails and grassy areas...
This park is adjacent to the Montoyo campus of the Community College system in Albuquerque and at the foot of the Bear Canyon natural area/flood detention in NE Albuquerque. Other parks/playfields, churches and senior community are to the south about a quarter mile. JUAN TABO Blvd highlights the entry area where the flood detention dam is defined by unusual concrete water-flow attenuators. A 100 year storm event thru Bear Canyon would be a sight to see, considering the magnitude of runoff potential from the imposing granitic Sandia Mountains a mile away. Great hiking area.
I live right across the street from this park. It's a beautiful park. Lots of trees and the grass is well maintained. There is a play area for kids. The only drawback is there isn't any water fountains.
This is a great place to bring kids! The playground is small, but has the basics: slides, swings, and climbing. There's even a tire swing for the kids to have fun on. There's a large field that is used for sports and lounging. Plenty of walking trails and sidewalks that are popular for walking dogs, with dog waste stations. There aren't public restrooms or a dog park here, so if you need these in a park, I recommend going to North Domingo Baca Park.

Old town Albuquerque is a great place to shop and find authentic products. Itâs has many shops to explore with very beautiful art, clothing, jewelry, cafe, and ice cream shops. Prices are reasonable. Depending on day and time you go can be crowded.
