El Molcajete Mexican Grill - Mexican restaurant in Plover - 1160 Meridian Dr, USA

This restaurant was fantastic. The food was excellent. The service was excellent and they have a Salsa bar where you can try all different kind of hot sauces. I deducted a star because I didn’t realize they charge 3% extra for not paying cash until I paid and got my receipt. I paid with a debit card. They have a small notice on the door that they do that, but I didn’t notice it because I was busy reading the other big notices they have there. They should put the up charge on the big piece of paper on their door.

It looks fantastic, but it was relatively sad in the food department. There was nearly no spice. They have an indoor gazebo of sauces you can choose from. But even the chili árbol was so tame it was like water. The salsa verde tasted like sugar water. The burrito seemed like it was pre-made and frozen, then thawed and reheated, because it was dry. I had to dump el yucateco all over my plate, it was the only thing to make the verde good. The chilli rellenos had a thick breading and tasted old. I did try about 7 of the sauces in the gazebo, the only one I liked was the cucumber ranch, one, and of course the El Yucateco. Maybe my standards are too high for mexican food. Maybe everything is toned down for the people in the area. But it was not a good experience.

Delicious, fresh cuisine in generous portions served by friendly staff in a welcoming atmosphere. Always wonderful. My lunch portion steak fajitas were so generous I got two full meals out of them! We also can't get enough of their unique fresh salsa bar 😊 Excellent!

My family went here for dinner and we were all impressed with the food and service we received there. Everything was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and surprised us all because he noticed we had gifts at our table because we were celebrating birthdays. He bought out a beautiful fried ice cream. The atmosphere is beautiful and feels comfortable. Everyone there was very friendly. I highly recommend this place. My children wanted me to write a glowing review because they liked it so much.

This is probably my most favorite Mexican restaurant! I love the decor and ambiance of this place! They even have a salsa bar.... that's a nice touch! Chips are good but the salsa has to be a roasted tomato salsa because it was delicious! I had the Burritos Ricos! This was amazing flavor in two Burritos covered in cheese topped with sour cream lettuce and tomatoes.

Came here for the first time. Of all the Mexican Restaurants we've been, their ambience is the best!👌 it's like you're in an old village from the past. Very friendly staff too!! Good food and drinks!

Service was excellent and the food was incredibly good. I highly recommend. Kids may not be able to finish their plate because the serving sizes are large, so be prepared to take things home if you have a smaller appetite.

First time customers. Staff was very professional, courteous, and friendly. Atmosphere was buzzin. Prizes are more than fair for what you get. Food was quick and amazing! Will definately be back!
