El Mezcal Mexican Restaurant - Bartlett - Mexican restaurant in Bartlett - 7424 US-64, USA

Located at a minimum of three locations in the greater Memphis area (depending on when you read this), this establishment has been serving up fine Mexican food for over 30 years. I’ve frequented both their Union Avenue “Midtown” and Highway 64 “Bartlett” area locations, and the food is fast, fresh, and consistently solid.

The food was seasoned and very good. I had the chicken quesidilla lunch special and also a 6 flight of margaritas. The drinks were a regular drink size and were good also. The only problem with the drinks is the flavored syrup. There were too many pumps of it. All in all this was a great experience and I'll be back.

The food was great. The service was quick, and the waitress very nice. The only complaint I would have is that the seating around the restaurant was extra close. My friends and I went for dinner and while the service and food was great we had people walking in the front door almost up against the backs of our chairs, and the people seated at the table behind us had their chairs back to back with ours. I recommend eating here, but I would try to find a slower night to visit

Came here with a friend for a late lunch and the food was enjoyable. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress was fast and prompt. I ordered a side of guacamole to go along with the chips and salsa. Both were delicious! I ordered a small frozen margarita and it was a perfect size, not to mention it tasted good! For the main, I order a combination dinner of 2 enchiladas(chicken) and 1 taco (chicken). Everything tasted well and I was able to take home leftovers. Overall, I would come back here to try out other items. They do have a large menu!

Food was great. No rice on the chimichanga so a little bummed about it but overall great. The bathroom, no lie, was probably the cleanest bathroom i have ever walked into! Def loved that! It was a reflection on how serious they take cleanliness:)

The menu is like a book! They got the typical selection of mexican cuisine you'd expect. The waitresses are gorgeous so beware lol. The fries are amazing and the tacos are #1. Not too pricey at all. The salsa is on the spicy side so approach with caution

Always love going here to eat. Good is great. The service is the absolute best!

I went solo for lunch and the service started great. I was seated right away and received my salsa and chips, water with a lemon in a to-go cup as I asked for, immediately. My server took my lunch order: two hard-shell beef tacos with rice and beans for 10 ish dollars. Since tomatoes don't come on my tacos, I asked for tomatoes which was an additional 50 cents. I started to eat the salsa and chips which was very good. Just season perfect for me. Then my food came and it looked appetizing and tasted good. After about 3 bits I started to feel a little funny in my tummy and throat. I went to the bathroom to cough and use the bathroom and came back to my table and noticed my salsa had been dumped on my plate. My chips and fork I was using were gone. Someone had brought me a new set of silverware and fresh salsa. I just look at my plate and realized Someone had dumped the bowl of salsa on my plate and had moved things around on the table, but no one said anything to me. I asked for my server who informed me, (only after I asked) that they thought I had left and they had touched my food. Of course, I didn't feel comfortable to finish my meal. I was not happy and asked the server what were they going to do. He said they could make me some more food, but by this time I didn't trust nor did I want to keep eating. I was/am very disappointed that they would assume I wouldn't notice someone had touched my food, dumped salsa on my plate, and not tell me and look to see if I would notice. This was very tacky, nasty, and unacceptable service. I liked this place but am very scared to go back. Because if they will do me like this(I do feel it was a mistake, but do not tell me) I don't trust the service. By the way, something made me feel sick as soon as I started eating within 15 minutes. This picture is what I left at my table when I went to the bathroom. My salsa had been dumped on my plate and my fork was gone. 🤢
