El Mariachi - Mexican restaurant in Lake Mills - 102 E Madison St, USA

As soon as I walked in... it smells delicious! The atmosphere is light and fun. Wait staff was a bit busy (dining room was full) but they definitely help each other out and make sure you're not waiting around. And the food... the food was so good!!! It's literally the best Mexican food we've ever had! Absolutely check it out, and check out the quesabirria it's life changing 😆 this is our new favorite Mexican food restaurant for sure! Flavor is phenomenal, presentation is on point and drinks are bomb.. 10/10

Immediate seating. Food is fantastic! My buddy had taco Loco claims best tacos he's ever had. Clean restrooms. No language barrier. Reasonably priced.

I understand English may not be someone’s first language, but if you’re going to run a register and take orders you should be able to understand what we’re ordering. Our entire order was wrong. A shrimp taco salad turned out to be weird shrimp salad with asparagus, soggy croutons, and the olives we asked them to hold. My husband’s burrito was wrong and they told us that my sons burrito didn’t come with rice or beans. So we order rice and beans only to get two orders, so we wasted our money. We don’t live in Lake Mills so we’re stuck eating meals we didn’t order and don’t really like.

Love the food here, Never disappointed. Drinks are phenomenal as well. Love the half price margarita nights. Better cooks at this one than Watertown. Definitely will be coming to Lake Mills for Mexican food. Thank You for the yumminess.

Bland flavorless food. If it weren't for the tortillas it would be hard to tell what they were serving was supposed to be Mexican food. I had an assortment of different enchiladas, beef,chicken,bean,cheese. None of these saw any seasoning other than salt. Very disappointing, expected better. Maybe one dish wouldn't be great but ALL were bland. I can't recommend this restaurant.

Friends had the nachos for 2. I had fajitas for lunch. Pitcher of Margaritas. Everything was excellent. This is a regular for them and me when I get back.

Prices have gone up, service drastically down. The food quality was sub par, all three of our dinners were poor quality and burnt. Incredibly disappointed in how much this place has gone down in the last year. I wouldn't recommend any longer.

Stopped here when we were looking at a car. Nice place, and the food was authentic. If we're out here again we will definitely be back.
