El jarocho Mexican store and taqueria - Mexican restaurant in Manchester - 25 Stonegate Center, USA

The Mexican vibes you see in most grocery stores and restaurants. There is always Spanish music playing in the background, plenty of murals across walls, and an inviting staff. The reviews begged us to try this place, but we did not find anything spectacular. We were really keen on the birria tacos and they just didn't do it for us neither did the pollo taco that I split with my partner. We expected them to be crunchy yet soft, more flavor of the beef especially if you're getting the consumme with it. What we got instead was the tacos being very soft, the consumme felt more watered down because it had no seasoning to it. However the green verde was excellent and went very well with the tacos. Also, the pollo taco didn't have a lot of the seasoning we've come to expect from a Mexican restaurant. It was so so. The service is certainly very quick and the staff is friendly, but that alone won't bring us back. Slightly disappointed!

Delicious real Mexican food. The carne asada tacos with avocado salsa are the best. This is an order at the counter kind of place. Lots of people called in to get take out too.

When I heard this place had some of the best street tacos in town I knew I had to check them out. After showing up with a group that was larger than what anticipated the staff stay organized and pumped out tacos for a group of 20+ motorcycle riders. The tacos were perfect with a great flavor profile on each individual taco. Each one different than the one before. This is a place I will be coming back to and be eating a lot more tacos. P.S. the street corn is a big portion and just as amazing as the tacos.

Perfect experience I like that this place doesn't use waiters so you circumvent all of that nonsense. You place your order at the counter and they give you a number and call you when its done. If you want a beer or drink you go grab it yourself from the cooler. Food itself was very good. Tacos are a double corn tortilla which is how street tacos should be made. It was served with sauces, limes, and there are plenty of napkins in the holders on the table. I shouldn't even have to mention this, but I have been to so many Mexican places that don't serve limes with the tacos, don't give you napkins, and don't have any or enough sauces available. That really makes it difficult to enjoy your meal when you have to request every little thing and wait for the server to bring it when it should already be there in the first place. Come here for the food and nothing else. The tacos are amazing and filling, roja sauce is flavorful and the onions are plentiful. Great drink selection, always have to have the Jarritos. The store side of it, shambles. I really wanted to try out some Mexican snacks, but all were expiring within a few days or were expired or melted. I was hoping for some hot sauces you can't find in stores, but all they had the typical ones. I would give it 4 stars because of the lackluster selection of store products but the food was too good to knock off a point.

They have the most delicious tacos I've had in the midwest! The lengua was super tender, fish in the fish taco was well seasoned and lightly breaded, and suadero was cooked to perfection. To top it all off, the owner was very kind and welcoming. After trying out their delicious tacos, tortas, and drinks (they had horchata when we were there), I would recommend checking out the groceries (and ice cream) section as well. The near 5 star rating on Google and Yelp is well deserved.

Absolutely the best Mexican food in the STL area. This Carne Asada is one of the best things I’ve ever had. Their customer service is spectacular, and they’re efficient, even when busy. This is a MUST try.
