This place feels like home. All selections are made fresh from locally sourced ingredients but it's the impeccable service that makes this place feel like home. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. This is definitely one for your list if you should find yourself in Turlock, California.
Absolutely FREEZING in the dinning room. Food was strictly mediocre. I had the chimi supreme with whole beans. The beans were flavorful but unfortunately, they covered all of their food with cotija cheese which was too strong and basically ruined what might have been delicious. The “steak” in the chimi was chewy like bubble gum. The chimi itself was mostly tortilla with little filling. They covered the sour cream and guacamole in cojita which made them I edible. It was ordered with red sauce and came with sour watery green sauce poured all over the chimi making it soggy. I did order a basket of flour chips which were warm, toasty and delicious but seriously how could you screw that up?
I don’t know if they were having a bad day. The dining room did not have very many people in it, and it made me wait for about five minutes before they sent me had a table which was bizarre. The cabbage served with the salsa was good.
It's one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to. The Camorenos Salvajes are incredible. I lived here for 20 years and I've not yet found a restaurant that comes close. (In Colorado now and l'm loving it, so please don't move there.) The atmosphere and the staff are super friendly and helpful. It's still a gem in a relatively small (70,000) town.
El Jardin is a great spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. Service is super friendly and the restaurant is really fun consisting of two old homes brought together for the good funky style that makes going out a good time.
**Came back a year later and their service is still TERRIBLE! We were seated rather quickly, however, they helped everyone else who was seated AFTER us, first. After 10 minutes of watching this, I finally had to go ask someone to please provide us service. Definitely will not be returning here. Not worth it.
The food tasted hot and fresh. I ordered both steak and chicken items to taste the flavors. The chicken was pleasantly seasoned, and I would order another chicken item in the future. The steak had moderate gristle, but was also seasoned well. The steak enchiladas had good flavor, and not too spicy green sauce. The taquitos on the appetizer were over cooked and had “crunchy steak” inside. The steak fajitas were delicious and seasoned well. The service was a bit lacking and much to be desired. El Jardin has been a Turlock staple for many years, but it seems their service is consistently lacking. They have a small indoor dining area, as well as outdoor dining, and an indoor patio area that could hold a larger crowd. Overall, if I didn’t have anything to do for the rest of the day or was not in a rush, I would return. Be prepared to wait for your food, as it seems they are often busy.
El Jardin Turlock has always had a good reputation for delicious Mexican food. Their service during the dinner hour, however, leaves a lot to be desired. You can typically expect to wait for them to take your order after at least 15 minutes. Then, you can expect another 30-1.5 for your food. So, although they have great chips and salsa and many tasty dishes, you’ll need to make sure you are not in a hurry when you dine here. There is a large patio area which Is very nice, and they do have heaters they can turn on if it gets cool. You never feel pressure to leave, so you can also expect a nice leisurely time to chat with friends if you choose, which is a plus. Note: Since originally posting this review, the service time has greatly improved. The food is good as always!
We have dined in and had take out and El Jardin never disappoints! Their food is always delicious and their service is good. We love their chicken tortilla soup, flour chips, chicken enchiladas and tacos, bean dip and taquito appetizers! The plates are always nicely presented with decent portions. Our favorite authentic Mexican restaurant in town!!
My husband Andrew and I really enjoyed this restaurant..The food was really delicious.Andrew loved his chili relleno and I must say that was one of the best compuesta I ever had.We both look forward to coming back to try some new dishes.
This is a great spot with excellent food. The owner is super nice and the atmosphere is very welcoming. We had previously ordered food through DoorDash and finally went in person and it did not disappoint! They also have a little coffee place in the
I was planning a surprise birthday party for Roxanne my wife's 60th birthday. After contacting several restaurants none would make me 50 enchiladas. When I contacted these guys I was told "I really don't serve these in my restaurant " I thanked h

By far the best rocky road ice cream I have ever had. Heard about this place a year ago and finally made it up on a work trip from Fresno. It was so worth the wait, I just hope it don't have to wait too long to have it again.
These guys use to work at the taco trucks on East. Since they started their own truck I've been coming here. Their flavors are consistent. My go to taco truck in Turlock.
I have been to 6 other Dutch Bros and this one had the absolute best and friendliest service. The drinks were made right and the line went smoothly. I will come back to this location again when passing through Turlock.
This is one of my two go to taco trucks in Turlock. I finally tried their fries (I got them with shrimp) and they're really good. I also got a shrimp taco but they have everything you'd expect and then some. I love the flavor of all their food.
Chicken (thigh) and beef kebab plate was delicious. Ask for lavash if you want it and you can purchase the perfect amount for your meal separately. My husband also enjoyed the food. Prices are great compared to other places I've had locally. The bakl
Stopped by here on my way to the bay and I'm glad I did. Had a latte, crepe and wet burrito. All were great and service was excellent. Worth a stop whether for coffee, food or both!
I havenât been to the Turlock Library since the remodel, and I was thrilled with the improvements! The atmosphere is inviting, bright and cheerful. Iâm looking forward to my next visit. P.S. The staff is super-friendly, helpful and cheerful, too!
