El Faro - Mexican restaurant in Summit - 6136 S Archer Rd, USA

Okay the food is excellent a great value tastes good probably one of the best burrito places on the south side although the environment does not much they can do about Bullet Hole in the glass kind of gives it a rough vibe in my opinion. Building on the inside has patina but history it's a good south side of Rio joint great to bring a friend. Neighborhood is kind of sketchy so lock your car turn your rings inside and hide your bling unless you got Steel on you. Can't say enough about the burritos and tacos though really good nice people that work there too.

I don’t order anything else besides their burritos. The pork burritos are DELICIOUS. They have the best burritos ever! I love the drink options and all the food options. Inside the place it’s nice and cool, so you can dine in with friends and family! The staff are friendly and help you if you need anything. The parking isn’t the best (it’s a little small) but that doesn’t matter since it’s a small area and they can’t fit more.

Great tacos. Could tell the food was good cos lots of locals + nice crowd. Furnishing was very spartan, but the food itself was the priority. Will be back.

Legendary in the area. Four steak tacos and side of guacamole were excellent as expected. I highly recommend the burritos also my favorite for many years. Top notch service with a smile.

Great giant burritos! Thus place is a must try if you are in the area. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at but the food is 5 stars! There is very limited parking on the street so finding a spot is sometimes difficult. But it's worth it!!

Rude lady taking my order. Sorry that I want my lettuce on the side Huge plastic barrier. I can't hear them very well. Can they hear me? And they forgot a few items. I had checked in the car before i left, thankfully. Terrible parking situation 😑 has been like that FOR YEARS. I was explained. I'd get towed right away if I parked on the opposite side of the street where there's ample parking. I was glad to see same cook was there since years ago. Was nice to see. I haven't been there in over 10 years and everything is different. My tacos used to be so big, and they would come with 2 tortillas. Now they are so small. Never again will go there. El Faro #2 in berwyn is not much better. Parking sucks there, too. And they present their food their differently than Summit. They were a bit rude at berwyn/riverside location, too.

Still great food after 30 years of going here, I moved out of state but whenever I'm back in town I have to stop in for a burrito! 🌯

Going since I was in High school. Usually around 1am too. Can't give it up. I thought the langua was a bit over done but I still ate it all. 12-20 update, Excellent steak burrito with avocado. Salsa Rojas in a squeeze bottle works well. Foil wrapped carrots and pepper needed more pepper than the one piece I got and a lot of carrots. 8-1 still stopping here if I'm in the area. Got the pork buritto this time, should of gotten the steak. It was ok but just ok. Laugua taco I also got was better.
