Exceptional hotel! Each staff member we encountered was friendly, professional & courteous. Beautiful, well maintained grounds. Room was clean, comfortable & beautiful. Daily housekeeping was great, no issues, even left a pair of kids slippers for our daughter by her toddler bed. Valet service attendants were all very friendly & helpful. A special thank you to the concierge Jack who made the stay special for our daughter. Thank you for a great start to 2024!

Such a beautiful experience! Staying at El Encanto was akin to a 4 day visit to paradise. My husband and I loved our large king terrace room - large marble bathroom with good-sized walk in rain-head shower, separate large tub, and separate doored commode area. Many goodies provided like El Encanto moisturizers, soaps, conditioners, bath products, all with heavenly scents. Firm plush mattress with high quality linens, lovely large sitting area with full-sized couch and pretty furnishings, and terrace surrounded by plantings that gave us a good bit of privacy for relaxing and outdoor (fantastic) room-service dining. The grounds are beautiful with perfectly maintained landscaping, colorful flowers, walking paths, and an arbor. Dining in the restaurant (indoors or outside) is heavenly… gorgeous views of ocean and hills, calming spa-like music, excellent service and food. We are early risers so often the only couple at breakfast at 7am. Our servers were all excellent but Javier was particularly outstanding… so attentive, kind, and soft-spoken. Valet parking and women at front desk were all very enthusiastic and helpful. This was one of those visits where you don’t want to leave, and are sure you will be back.

Absolute perfection! Some of the best hospitality I have ever experienced. I forgot my hair brush and someone ran to the store and bought me a new one without me even asking. The staff went above and beyond in every way. The property is completely tranquil and well kept. They even left parting gifts in my car as we left! I cannot recommend this place enough

We enjoyed our 38 anniversary this week at the beautiful El Encanto. We first came over 30 years ago and have seen the property evolve, especially after its branding with Belmond. The experience was outstanding from the excellent service from the concierge prior to arrival and throughout our three night stay. The Rosewood Miramar is nearby, and we have stayed there, but El Encanto is a more personal and luxurious experience and without the “bling”. Its location, views, and highly-trained staff work exceptionally well together, orchestrated by GM Janis Clapoff. We will continue to return to El Encanto for a truly exceptional experience.

We spent 2 glorious nights with our family at this breathtaking hotel. The service, attention to detail, the positivity radiating from every single staff member was extraordinary!!! We were 7 adults in total and all felt the same way. We were treated like welcomed guests with a level of professionalism and positivity that made our experience extra extra special. What an ABSOLUTE GEM of a resort. It grounds are breathtaking and extremely peaceful and tranquil throughout!!! So thrilled we had the opportunity to experience the real magic of El Encanto!

Wow, what a special resort and peaceful resort. We loved staying there, but the expense stops us from going more often. I love the room so much. I was able to stay in the room and get a bunch of writing done. Having meals in their restaurant or their room service just added to our experience.

We just ate at the restaurant because we're local, but the views are so beautiful from the patio. The food was really good, but you could serve a soggy bowl of cereal on that patio and everything would feel just right. Enjoy the food, but go for the atmosphere!

My husband and I stayed at the El Encanto for our recent elopement. From the moment we stepped on the property, the staff were warm, kind, and attentive. They made our stay so special, and were constantly celebrating us and our nuptials through thoughtful gestures & gifts. We also visited the spa and enjoyed a couples massage - everything was so relaxing and was the best massages my husband and I have ever had! The property itself is a dream - the view is unmatched, and the bungalows are so gorgeous. Cannot say enough good things about the El Encanto, and look forward to returning soon!
