Picnic shelters, bath house showers ( from the 60’s) need routine cleaning and upgrade. Embarrassing for the state of Kansas. Nice big park but it needs routine maintenance and cleaning. The fire grates are all still filled with last seasons ashes.
First time visiting the area and decided to stay at the park. The campsite was 85' long and very wide. This gave us enough room for the camper and a family gathering at the site. The campsites were abundant, and the pricing for a full hookup site was very inexpensive.
Place was anawesome place to camp with plenty of shade. Nobody bothered you and people minded there business. Recommend it any time.
Love the lake, but RV campers should have better picnic tables, most are broken or missing boards
I had to make light just so you can see my picture or it would have been all dark and you would have been able to see the beautiful galaxy above, Cool Wind rolling off the water to soothe your earlier sunburn as you enjoyed fine fishing excellent swimming and where the term "good people" originated
Cute and cozy. All lots are both 30&50amp (so we were told). Not many level areas for a class A (or motorhome 41ft). Nice Park area for the kiddos. Very friendly park staff.
There are a lot of prime sites with power water and sewer hook ups. And many shaded camp sites.
This is a beautiful park. It has a river that runs through it and a man-made lake. The campsites are separated a little from each other. Lots of nice trees. There are lots of paved trails and paved roads in the campground that are nice for biking. There are some trails through the woods also. We had electric and water. We visited this park in early April. It was very confusing to get a site because there was no camp host available and the park office was closed. (It was Saturday.) There were a lot of local campers in the park. There are maps on bulletin boards but no printed maps were available. This is a BIG park with multiple camping areas so it was difficult to figure out on our own.
