El Dorado Motel - Motel in Gardena - 15614 S Vermont Ave, USA

Cool place if you want to check in before the usual 2-3 pm hour. Run by a VERY nice family. They do seem to care about their customers' comfort. Can be a bit overpriced sometimes. Rooms are clean. Towels can be better. ALL the pillows should be replaced, for real. Clean sheets always a plus!

Service was kind of shady. He won’t share his name, so if you want to press charges you can’t. Some rooms don’t have working appliances. Price only goes up and nothing gets renewed. Any window with a screen, has a massive hole in it so all the rooms have bugs or is just stuffy air. They will not help with anything, unless you buy multiple days.

So my family and I stayed here over night and the room was terrible. The walls had stains, the carpets were dirty, and during the night like at 2am my dad got bit on his butt at first we didn’t know what it was we thought it was probably a spider and the bite bumps it left were about an inch in diameter. So then my dad wakes up again and turns on the light he finally found the bug it was a bed bug!! In total he got bit 11 times. (Neck,back,butt,arm) it was so bad I wish I could insert the pictures but email me if you want to see. Also when I took a shower the next morning the towels and rags that were provided were stained and dirty like very dirty yellow, brown, black stains. Some even looked like makeup stains. The pillows also had stains honestly I doubt they even change the sheets because the hotel room was so poor. Honestly these people who say “good things” about this place are wrong. There are plenty of bad reviews even about bugs I just wish I read them and $150 dollars for two beds for that poor quality man if I’m spending 150 a night I expect clean towels and no bugs. The owners response was why didn’t u tell us when it happened, keep in mind this happened late at night and we aren’t the type of people to complain we were tired of having a 3 hour drive. They acted like they didn’t believe us and we showed them my dads bites and the lady didn’t even care but the man pretended but he just took orders from the lady. And honestly in the Gardena area there aren’t really any good hotels. So just take my word and others who shared a true experience. DO NOT COME HERE!!

For someone on a tight budget and needs a decent place to stay around carson/torrance/gardena area for 2 weeks, I would say El Dorado meets my needs. Room is comfy, guy at the reception is very accomodating and friendly, security cam on 24 hours, enough parking space, and the feeling of being safe even you're alone! Rates were negotiable for long term stay, laundry place just a few steps across the road, nearby restos, and everyday, the cleaning lady will straighten up your room... What I didn't like is the weak wifi signal when your room is far from the reception area. It's not a 5 star hotel but the comfort & privacy is just like home. Overall, my stay was a pleasant one and I would stay here again if needed!

Smashed roaches on the walls every where you look. I’m going to sleep with all the lights on after this review. Poorly cleaned walls and floor is filthy!!! For $150 a night is horrible. They have bed bugs crawling in the headboard of the beds. I’m disappointed at this place. Must be honest about your reviews people i have lots of photos to prove this is not worth your stay. Run 🚶🏽‍♀️...

I love this place, everytime I come down there if I have to get a room, this is where I go. They are not always that clean in the rooms but they are reasonable & I feel comfortable there. Overall a good place to stay for a day or two..

It wasn't the best of experiences. The staff was rude, the lights in our room didn't work..as did the TV, the room didn't have a working lock on either the bathroom or the main door. When we were paying for our room the manager scoffed at my friends because they were Deaf. When I asked them to adjust the TV with closed captioning, the manager simply noted their TVs did not support that feature and refused to help...only later after fussing with the TV did my friends find that the man lied about the TV not having subtitles, fixing it themselves. It was simply ridiculous. In my opinion, I would highly recommend finding another place if looking for a motel.

BEWARE IF YOU ARE GOING ALONE AND FEMALE!! During the rental , the manager a male asked if anyone would be with me, I thought that was a typical question asked at all hotels so I told him just my child....i left and came back, within 5 minutes there was a knock on the door, it was the male manager.... He was bringing me me ID... I thanked him and he basically barged his way into the room asking was everything OK.... He insisted on checking the TV... KEPT ASKING me if I needed anything and to come to him,he wanted to shake my hand and even tried to hug me.My child was not with me and he asked where the child was and then WHERE IS HER DAD.... Finally got him to just leave, to only be disturbed by the couple next door fighting and soon after loud adult activities..... So I went back to the lobby and asked for another room.... It was only 8pm and I wasn't going to spend the rest of the night next to that, he moved me to another room....instead of just giving me another key he insisted on going to the room with me... I felt sooooo uneasy... I stayed at the door while he went allll the way in and tried to get me to come inside and check the bathroom............ When that didn't work he offered me beer and of course if I needed anything...... My boyfriend picked me up and I told him what happened, he said he saw him standing outside when he walked to the room watching him... This morning when I went to check out he was much less friendly .||...he asked if I smoked in the room I'm assuming for the $20 deposit return... I told him no.... 'Well what about your friend.... You told me no male friends and I saw him come.... ". Place was clean for the price, but I will NOT return!!!
