This was by far the best Cuban food I have had in the Midwest since I left Miami.
The service was excellent, the vibe was inviting, and the food was outstanding. They have an excellent location on the corner with outdoor and indoor seating.
If you're looking for an authentic Cuban sandwich, stop in. I would recommend a side of Yuka fries and black beans and rice. You can end your visit with a good Cuban coffee shot.

Super awesome place. Family owned, and the daughter let me warm up cause I was on my bike and she made me a cuban Sammy best I've ever had!!! She was pretty attractive to be honest. Amazing place!
I have been wanting to stop here as I’ve driven by it many times. We ate outside under the thatch roof canopies. The server’s taking our order and serving the food were very friendly. I mentioned it was our first time at El Cubano and she gave us recommendations for most popular food items. The El Cubano sandwich with Yuca (fries) was awesome. We also split the El Guajiro which was roasted pork marinated in their home-style mojo criollo. Served with white rice, black beans, sweet fried plantains and a side salad. Both the sandwich and the plate were generous portions. Add a couple of Coronas with limes and you have a delicious meal. Will definitely return!!
The food was very flavorful especially the rice and beans. I order the Ropa Vieja it was bursting with a lot of flavor. We also had a delicious hot sauce!
I honestly can't believe we haven't dined here sooner. The place is a true gem!
Must try the empanadas and yucca fries! They were by far our favorites. Save room for a dessert parfait because it's 💣💣

We have lived just down the street for about a year and we should have already visited here! Everything we ordered was delicious! Gladys was lovely and we will be in again soon. (We ordered the appetizer sampler and the el Cubano - we loved everything and we want to try the rest of the menu!) Try the Passion fruit drink too! Yum!
I noticed “hidden gem” in another review and I couldn’t agree more. The El Cubano was one of the best Cuban sandwiches that I’ve had in a long time. We also got the Ropa Vieja and that was outstanding too. It had more of a homestyle flavor, like someone’s Abuelita made it. Stop in and give this a try, you will not be disappointed.
Just overall lovely experience. Service was friendly, attentive, informative, engaging from host to server to busser to chef. The menu is small so we probably ordered 50% of it...all were unique, delicious and photo-worthy (as with the cocktails).
