El Coronado Resort - Resort hotel in Wildwood Crest - 8501 Atlantic Ave, USA

Everything was so nice. Our room was very clean and for a couple it was perfect. It was just enough space or balcony was beautiful. The clientele of the hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly. I love the walk-in shower. I loved the private balcony, especially at night. All the lights outside was very calming. I love that it was on the beach and the poolarea was very accommodating. We had breakfast in the restaurant that was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was the sweetest. I would definitely come back here next year.

Hotel is nice , rooms are big size and good view and close to ocean and pool is big compared to most in wildwood. But had a terrible experience at the restaurant inside the hotel. Left a tip for the very sweet waiter we had and it magically disappeared after the table was cleaned. Put the signed slip and cash tip under the ketchup bottle and according to the busboy it wasn't there.

I have been staying here for many years. This year was different. Check in was horrible! I have never had such issues. I was told they would call me when the room was FINALLY ready and they didn't. There wasn't even room to get to the front desk with everyone having the same issue with rooms not being ready and this was way after 3pm. Then I had an issue with a dirty pair of underwear in the handicap bathroom. I told them about it and almost two hours later no one had addressed the issue. The front desk employees just seemed to not care. Then there was the pool seating. They no longer have the same amount of "free" chairs as prior years. It's almost as if they are forcing you to rent their cabana chairs. They use to have two rows of chairs, they now only have one. There is no reason why I should have to spend extra money to sit at the pool. With that being said, it was a bit disappointing. It's sad because the grounds are clean, the rooms are clean and the location is great. The maintenance people are very nice and helpful, but all of the things noted above just took away from the trip that I had to wait two years to get back.

We stayed here for 5 nights, it was wonderful. Great view of the ocean, clean hotel, beautiful and clean pool and hot tub, very accommodating staff throughout. Jerry and the entire maintenance crew were so freindly, and worked continuously to keep the hotel in great condition. The restaurant in the hotel was great and the staff was fantastic. We will definitely return. Thank you for such a beautiful stay.

Almost perfect. Nice location Clean rooms with good housekeeping. Comfortable beds. Quiet hallways. Friendly people. Nice pool. Enjoyed music at pool. |Just need more shade available! Shouldn’t have to rent a big area. Even an umbrella table or two would help. |Cabanas only provide shade for face, not rest of body.

This place is a mixed-bag. The lobby and hallway look nice, but the rooms are dated. They were clean, which is important. The pool area was very nice. You have to bring your own towels for the pool unless you rent a cabana. Then they provide the towels. No one tells you that. We found out when asking about renting a cabana. You're not allowed to use your room towels at the pool. There's a restaurant on-site, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast/ lunch there. One important thing to note is that there is no hairdryer in the room, so bring your own. One of the elevators was broken when we were there, which made the wait time for the elevator quite a bit longer. Hopefully, it's fixed by now. There were lots of kids, so it's family friendly. There's even a game room.

How anyone would rate this higher than 2 stars baffles. They have strange policies such as checking in before 6:00 PM or your card will be charged the full amount. We got there before 6:00 PM and found out they charge you the full amount upfront regardless. The rooms are horribly dated from the dirty carpets, furniture, curtains and tv. Plus, they don't provide you with a blanket on the bed, just a flat sheet. They had extra sheets in the closet (one was for a full sized bed when we had a king) and fuzzy throw blanket that smelled like it had not been washed with lint all over it. Parking is horrible. The lobby area is nice and has a quaint feel to it. The location to the beach is amazing. For the price, it's disappointing.

Fun family stay at El Coronado. Great pool area with DJ. Breakfast and lunch available pool side. Elevator was out of order, took 3 days to fix, which was inconvenient. Hotel needs new linen service, as towels were like rocks. New kitchen in units were nice. Was able to BBQ pool side, which saved money. Hotel situated right on the beach.
