There are 3 El Charro Tapatio in Porterville, but this location is the BEST one. Everything is always delicious and fresh. We really like the elderly lady in there. She is just genuinely happy and so sweet all the time. She is really good what she is doing, fast and super friendly. The restaurant is looking run down in past 10 years. If I could recommend one thing is I wish this place could be more clean, but over all you can't beat the quality of food and service. Strongly recommend!
The original building has been around a long time and has had a few expansions over the years. The chips a salsa is house made and very delicious. My go to is the enchiladas. Today was a wonderful meal. The waitress was new but very good. They serve alcohol so every had a really good time.
I ordered the #15 Chile Verde plate. Comes with side of your choice or tortillas. Corn or flour. Side of salsa and tostadas. So delisioso!
Huge tacos, delicious!! Great salsa not spicy but not just tomato. Horchata was good not milky and sweet just perfect!
We had a great lunch here with the family! The service was great. We loved that it was family oriented with the way they ran things! Highly recommend! We will be back!
