I stayed at the El Bonita Motel last week, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! The staff was exceptionally pleasant and accommodating. They gave us an early check-in upon request, and they upgraded us to a better room just because one was available. Complimentary breakfast is a great spread - lots of fresh fruit and pastries. The location is fantastic if you're staying in St. Helena! 10 minute walk to main street and within walking distance of lots of wineries! 10/10 would recommend and stay again!
The hotel itself is nice! The pool and hot tub are cleaned daily. The room was clean. And they also provide breakfast! It’s also in an ideal location for where I was heading to.
Cute and the price is right! They surprisingly have lots of amenities! Pool, hot tub, breakfast and nice picnic area. The rooms were recently renovated. It also close to town. I would stay again
Lovely little motel nestled in a great location. We used the pool/hot tub area and everything felt so secluded and quaint. Also outdoor fire pit areas. Loved the art on the buildings and wine glasses/opener in the room for the intentional little details.
We were visiting to go wine tasting at several local wineries and decided to spend less on lodging and more on our wine and dining experiences. This place was perfect for that. Older 'motel-style' with the doors on the outside, but the room was spacious and clean with a balcony. Parking was right outside the doors. The lighting was a little dim in the room and the carpet could be replaced, but those are the only complaints. Bed was comfy. Free breakfast in the lobby each morning with standard hotel fare, and a cute little firepit to enjoy a glass of wine each evening. Wine glasses were available in the room, which was a nice touch. The pool was not open during our stay. Within walking distance to downtown St. Helena by sidewalk, and we enjoyed walking to dinner one of the nights we were there.||We did need to do laundry while there (midpoint of a two-week trip), and there was a coin laundry about 2 min down the street.||I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
My husband and I stayed one night in a Deluxe King room just before New Year's Eve 2023, and it was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also decent for what it was. There seem to be quite a few wine tasting opportunities close by, but we sadly didn't have time to sample them during our short stay. Hoping to get a chance some other time - we will definitely book El Bonita Motel again for our next St Helena visit. No frills, but really great value!
El Bonita is the perfect spot for anyone visiting St. Helena or its surrounding attractions. I’ve stayed here on two different occasions and found the rooms to be accommodating, clean and spacious. The pool is a great add, and the complementary breakfast is always appreciated.
We have been staying at El Bonita for approximately the past 7 years. We go every March-April for our anniversary. We love the garden rooms in the back. They are quiet, near the fireplaces and lots of parking. Fred and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for us as we will travel to Calistoga, Alexander Valley, Anderson Valley, Healdsburg, Guerneville. ...in other words, it is very centrally located in wine country!!! We can walk to downtown St Helena - Market Restaurant, Tre Vigne Restaurant, Gotts/Taylors Refresher Restaurant, Sunshine market, Model Bakery and the lovely downtown shops. A favorite shop is Acres.
A gem of a boutique hotel. Small scale but great service by the hotel crew. From front desk, housekeeping and ladies at the breakfast bar. Room was clean, tidy and uses very nice toiletries. We liked the location too. On Main Street that is convenie
My husband and I came here for a little getaway and we had a wonderful time. The scenery was beautiful, breakfast was delicious, and the staff was friendly. Our room was comfortable and clean. We will definitely return for another relaxing getaway.
When good food, wine and cocktails are on the list, Brasswood is a must. One reason to go eat here is for the most amazing, freahly made mozzarella cheese with EVO and rosemary, served with a side of locally-grown heirloom tomatoes. It is absolutely
The service was outstanding. This place is a family owned restaurant and you can feel that from start to end. Osvaldo was an excellent server. The risotto croquets was my favorite dish.
Big bowls and a sprawling street course with tight trannies nestled in an idyllic spot in wine country. This place is paradise and almost always empty. The quarters have flatbar coping, which is incredibly annoying, but otherwise this it's perfect.
Always a good experience at Gotts! Delicious food, and tons of options for everyone. The California chicken sandwich is great and so are the garlic fries. Try the black and white shake - so good! I appreciate how clean it is there, and how friendly t
I cannot say enough good things about The Saint!!!! My husband and I got married in St. Helena. Our venue ended on the earlier side and we were so torn about having an after party due to costs. We spoke with Heidi multiple times who was SO kind and p
What a cute place. What makes it special is the quality of the food, the actively engaged owner, his friendly efficient staff, and the charming artwork from his children from when they were little (theyâre grown now) and other patronsâ kids under
Great coffee and a chill atmosphere. Just stopped in today after a ride, the cappuccino was awesome... This is suck a nice place to chill and have a good coffee.
Walked in and a nice lady started talking to us about the history of the building and the business. Turned out to be Ana. Her daughter Roxy made me one of the best margaritas Iâve ever had as well as an incredibly delicious hot dog. This place is s
