Very clean restaurant and good service, but the food was bland and flavorless. Presentation of the burrito was nice, but the taste truly lacked spices (especially for a chipotle chicken burrito). I did like that the tortilla was super thin… but again, the burrito simply lacked flavor.
This place is a quick new favorite for me! Such amazing authentic food. Everything is flavorful and tasty. Will be back soon.
Best tacos in Bergen County. Absolutely the best. I’ve been going all the way to Suffern NY to find authentic tacos, but now I’m absolutely obsessed.
First time trying this restaurant overall the flavors were good the only reason why I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. I do think its a little overpriced. Chips and guac + 3 birria tacos came out to $25.

Unbelievable restaurant with the cleanest and most corona friendly indoor AND outdoor (year round) dining options. Management could not be friendlier. Hector knows our usual orders and always has great suggestions or offers to create something off menu with all our favorite ingredients. We could not recommend this place more highly, and have been coming at LEAST every other week for months now!
I'm not a fan of Mexican food. Not that I don't like it but it always seems overpriced and bland. However, I didn't feel that way after leaving El Azteca.
It's a pretty non-descript little place tucked in a strip mall. It was clean and the service was excellent. Beverages come in bottles, which I'm not a fan of, but that's my only complaint.
The portions were quite good and the prices reasonable, which says something when I say that because I'm cheap and think everything is overpriced. But I felt we got a good meal without being overcharged. It tasted great and had just a little kick. Hot sauces were available if you needed a little more. And, again, our waitress was awesome.
So if you're thinking about stopping by here, do it! Definitely worth the visit.
I absolutely love this place, and will B-line to it if I'm ever in the area and hungry.
I've gone to a lot of burrito-serving places around Mahwah and Ramsey, and can confidently say that El Azteca is the best one.
The burritos are well sized. If you have a small stomach, you can probably split one with a friend and still be full. They also come with amazing sides. They transport well, too, and I've had takeout from this place several times.
Their entire menu is solid, but I can't stop having it from their burrito section. I highly recommend this place.
