EL Azabache Mexican Restaurant - Mexican restaurant in Indianapolis - 4200 S East St #11, USA

I was really surprised with the decorations inside the restaurant, i does take you inside a "mexican culture " they even have a fountain in the midle of it! The food and service was great as well! I highly recomend!

Food was fantastic!!! This was our first time here and it tasted great. Our server/hostess was very short with words. We asked how long it would take on the food because we had a movie to see later that evening and just wanted an estimate. She just smiled at us and said okay. Someone else brought our food and we had to ask another server for refills on our drinks. The initial person who took our order only came back when she asked if we wanted the check and we asked for boxes. The food really saved it though, it was probably one of the best meals I have had In a long time! We would definitely go back for the food or maybe order take it out next time!

This USED to be a great place. The chips were burnt. When we got our food the portion sizes compared to price and previous visits were extremely disappointing. The chicken tasted spoiled and when I told the waiter he said the new cook must have burnt it. Several other tables also sent their food back while we were there. I had to go physically find the waiter 2 times. When the hostess attempted to help he was rude to her rushed her off and still didn’t bring the tortillas that came with our meal and we paid for .not to mention we watched them seat people at tables that had never been wiped. They took the dishes off the table AS the new family sat down… NOT SANITARY. I decided only to write this review after I spent the evening with stomach issues and vomiting the following morning. Clearly must be under new management.

The ambiance was wonderful. The service wasn't. The hostess led me back to my booth without a word of greeting. The server never came back once my good was delivered and left the check without a thank you it come again. Pretty sad service. The good was very good though. The typical chips and salsa were present. Içed tea was good. Had lunch special number nine: chicken burrito/beef burrito with a side of beans and rice. Followed up with fried ice cream. It you're just hungry for Mexican dishes and don't care about service, then you'll have a great experience.

Feeling special every time I get to go here. Excellent service tonight was fun with Melissa. Food was great and so were the drinks. I love that the music is always so upbeat. The atmosphere is great. Better than most places we go.

Food is very spicy. Service is ok. Don't keep drinks full. Prices are good with the food you get. Chill on the spice and keep my drink full

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the environment. Everything was fresh and came out hot. The server worked hard and got everything right with no issue. Not overpriced and was a large amount of food...I had plenty of leftovers to take home. Will be going back.

I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years. Tonight 10-28-23 a guy came to my table while I was eating and handed me a laminated piece of paper trying to sell cookies to pay for.......whatever. For 10.50 a dozen. When I said no ( i don't have much money) he said please twice. Who wants to go through that while paying $42 for a single person to enjoy a meal? When I asked the lady who rang me up she said "he is just selling cookies". In a condescending manner. I will never step foot in that restaurant again.
