El Alebrije Mexican Food - Restaurant in Wildwood Crest - 6300 New Jersey Ave, USA

This is seriously amazing food! The most flavorful dining experience we had in Wildwood the week of our vacation there. From the chips and queso dip for starters, to the main course of the pork tacos and steak burrito, to the dessert of a fried and frosted plantain, every dish was delicious! Our meal was over the top awesomeness in every bite. The girls out front were extremely kind and super friendly. This place is rated so highly for a reason, don’t pass it up!

El Alebrije c'est de la folie pure. Après quelques recherches, les commentaires nous ont convaincu d'essayer ce qui me semble être un resto assez neuf dans le paysage du Crest. Un resto qui devait être super authentique. Et ça l'est! Dios mio que c'est bon! Y a toute une brigade en cuisine qui prépare des plats délicieux et frais. C'est vraiment un endroit qui est pensé pour aller chercher la nourriture, il y a bien une petite salle à manger au cas où un orage déciderait de déchirer le ciel mais c'est tout petit, quoi que très propre, neuf et bien décoré. Il y a aussi quelques tables à l'extérieur pour profiter du grand air marin qui enveloppe le quartier. La nourriture est bonne, belle, généreuse et savoureuse. Ça a pas de bon sens comme on dit chez nous. Sur les photos tu peux voir le nachos sans viande mais avec une pléthore d'ingrédients frais. Mon ado a mangé un énorme burrito et les adultes se sont partagé un plat "combinado" qui nous semblait la meilleure solution pour goûter à plein de trucs différents : "Two enchiladas verdes, two tacos dorados, two carnitas tacos, grilled steak served with guacamole, pico de gallo and chips". C'était magnifique, les sauces sont bonnes, la guac est bonne, la viande est bonne. Pour 23$ tu combles deux personnes, c'est incroyable. On a aussi essayé en dessert le gâteau au fromage frit. Je comprends pas comment il font ça mais je pourrais me marier avec. Le coté frit est à peine présent, mais donne un improbable aspect croustillant au gâteau au fromage. Le service est super sympathique et très rapide. Notre commande pour deux familles est sortie dans les 15 minutes tout au plus, peut-être moins. Le buzz autour de ce resto est complètement justifié. Allez-y sans aucune hésitation.

Wildwood finally has a real deal mexican spot. Stop what you are doing and go get some barbacoa tacos— they are not greasy or dry… they are not too salty, they are divine. My husband got a steak burrito— when I asked him to explain it, he said it was exactly what he hoped for. Steak was cooked perfectly. It’s a takeout spot, that is unassuming, but the flavors speak for themselves. Order at the counter with seat yourself outside or inside seating. Great service and a server even though its a seat yourself. We will be returning year after year— support them! They need to stick around. 💗💗💗

Amazing spot and food! One of the best mexican food I ate. Also the people there were really nice and also came and checked if everything was okay! Will go back for sure!🌟

Bright, cheery place with the best Mexican food in the island, hands-down. Super tasty and authentic. Don’t sleep on the tostadas!

I live in NYC and I swear Wildwood has way better and more authentic Mexican food. The flautas are AMAZING. All of the tacos are fantastic. But maybe the best part is actually the service… everyone there is so kind and welcoming that I feel like I’m back in Mexico City. ¡Gracias Margarita!

Delicious food and amazing service! Sept 17 was their last day of the season! Can't wait to come back next summer when they reopen!

This place is legit. Got tacos, nachos, and a burrito. Everything was fresh and delicious. I got an al pastor burrito that was massive. Great balance of fillings and the fresh cotija cheese and sour cream on top kicked it up. My wife got tacos which were excellent and the spicy sauce that came with them packed punch. Highly recommend this place for fresh, flavorful Mexican food at very reasonable prices!
