Went here for a birthday party and was blown away! I didn't host the party so I'm not sure on pricing but we had the whole place to ourselves!! So many cool things to touch and play with and use imaginations. I didn't take pictures of everything. There is a back entrance that has a ramp if you need one. Unfortunately, it was raining because the outside part looked really incredible too. The employees were friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone and am looking forward to going back.
Definitely not for a one year old on a busy day.... the kids are running wild (understandable) and we couldn't even set down our baby or let her play with things because it was so busy and overrun. I would definitely recommend calling and asking what their slowest day is and going then... or just waiting until your child is old enough to not get ran over. I wish there was a baby specific room. I would not recommend for a 1 year old and was a little disappointed that we had to pay for her. We took her on her birthday so it ended up being $24 to pretty much to hold her and tour the place. It is our fault for taking her on what ended up being a super busy day but my review is for babies and busy days. The best part was outside so she could sit in the chairs and bang on the instruments. We will be back to visit when she is much older (2+). Would have been 4 stars if we didn't have to pay for her to do basically nothing and would have been 5 for more baby specific things. I wish the website didn't say infants because that is what drew us in, in the first place. I was impressed by the little bags to put dirty/mouthed toys in. I think overall its well thought out but its just not for infants, you would need a private session to bring a 1 or younger baby in my opinion.
This is a fantastic place, it is a smaller version of the St. Louis Magic House not so chaotic but just as educational, it's a great place to hold Birthday parties, the kids can run around and you still know where they are at. One way in and out. It's a controlled atmosphere. The kids love it, and the adults did also. We were there attending a birthday party.
Great place! Went there on Monday morning as soon as they opened and had a place to ourselves for a while! The stuff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms and toys are super clean! They also have an outdoor playground which is also clean and fun. You can dress up there, pretend play various professions, do scientific experiments, read, color, play music (in the playground) and so on. We’ll be back again!
My daughter had fun. The museum is a floor and a half and an outside portion. There are various stations: a tree house, a hospital nursery, a puppet show place, a flower shop, a dentistry, a kitchen, a book nook, a school, and various other stations. I feel like it's more an indoor play area (just not as many things to climb on) than it is what generally comes to mind when museum is mentioned. But still fun, and a good indoor activity area when it isn't great weather outside. The outside area was fun as well.
Not sure of the cost as I was one of 5 adults put on an annual family plan... but this place was a great way for little ones to spend a day to learn and explore! With an outdoor garden AND various professions inside = kids of various ages can use their imagination! (Just make sure you use plenty of hand sanitizer as the kiddos have things everywhere & while they do have bags to put toys in to be sanitized that have been put in mouths, this depends on the adults responsible to catch it!) Minus 1 star for odd hours (as they close by 2:30pm).
What a super awesome place for a kiddo to explore and use their imagination. Also allows us grownups to unwind and be a kid again. We spent about 2 hours there. It's one level and has an outdoor playground.
Okay I’m giving 4 stars because this isn’t my first rodeo at a childrens museum and because of this I will say they could’ve did a better job of picking up behind the kids. There was one side of the museum that looked pretty together but the other side of the museum was in complete disarray lol. Yes there were kids playing but there’s got to be a better way to keep some kind of order. I say this because I have went to other Childrens museums where they have figured this out so the next person coming along can enjoy that particular section. There is a diverse amount of activities and sections to explore from gardening, to the mail, to firefighters, blocks, books, velocity, drawing and more! My kids are 2 and 4 and they loved it. This can easily occupy your kids for multiply hours lol. The day we can it was raining so the outside section was closed but it looks fun and we’re excited to go back and enjoy it. For $7 I can dig it. If you live in the area a membership is worth it and you can upgrade during your visit. The workers were kind, I appreciated that. Hand sanitizer stations were readily around the day we visited.
