If you love the North woods, the beauty is everywhere. Fritz will put you on the path to many of the adventure the area has, his super comfy clean cabins and rooms are constantly being up graded. No its not the Ritz, if thats you stay away from here. Value comfort from a local that lives his biz, Fritz is your man and this is your place.
Fritz seems like a nice enough and friendly guy. The room was clean and in good repair. It's very dated and has seen better days. It has in room coffee, refrigerator, and microwave. Beds were comfortable and generally we slept well but had to shut the window air conditioner off due to the noise. We had to keep our dog off the grass as there was so much goose poop around.
We enjoyed our last visit, so had to return. As wife said, no rain this time. Spent most of my time fishing; caught a musky but had to release it, as it was too small to keep. Got quite a few other 'keepers', though.||Thanks, Fritz!
We had a great family vacation at Edgewater and highly recommend it. It is not fancy. The rooms are rustic and very clean. Everything was functional. Fritz was very friendly and seemed to be fixing the place up slowly, but surely. I would like to see how it looks in a few years. It is dog friendly. We rented a pontoon across the street at The Toy Store and tied it up at Edgewater which added to our experience. We utilized the fire pits, made s’mores, played badminton, played croquet, fished, and used the paddle boat and row boats. Pack fishing poles, paddle-boards, kayaks, and other toys. We made a lot of meals at Edgewater, but there are plenty of nearby dining locations (Fritz will give you a list and make recommendations at check-in). It is a great place to unplug and unwind, but also has AC, WI-FI, cable TV, etc. We saw so many bald eagles! It is a great place for a family reunion.
Very cute little place rooms and Cottages! Quite, pieceful and close to downtown. Fritz was great and assured us we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Highly recommended!
Clean and friendly with lots to do and enjoy for the whole family at the hotel and around town. Loved our stay at Eagle River. Fritz took great care of us on our stay!
We stayed two nights at the Inn—during the week. Our stay was a mix of positive and negative. On the plus side is that the entire place is immaculately clean, well cared for and quiet. There is evidence that there is remodeling and improving being done. The towels, paper goods and coffee are top notch. The grounds, dock and waterfront are inviting and pleasant. And that’s a good thing because the room is teeny tiny and it makes you want to be outside! The bed is super hard, and the water has a funky odor to it. But there were 2 bottles of water on the desk, which was a lifesaver! Fritz scolded us for booking through a third party, and just simply talks too much. But he did give us maps and told us about some hiking trails, which was nice of him.
My wife and I stayed here for five nights on a trip to the Wisconsin's Northwoods. Terrific location close to town yet quiet and peaceful. If you have your heart set on top flight luxury accommodations, this might not be the place for you. But if you're looking for an impeccably clean, well-equipped cabin literally feet from the water's edge, with extremely comfortable beds, fast wifi and working satellite tv at a reasonable price than this is it. Dog friendly to boot, so we were able to bring our little buddy with us. We rented a boat for the length of our stay and were able to tie up on the dock right in front of our cabin--how convenient is that! Fritz, the owner, is a great guy and was extremely patient with us as we had to make some changes after our original booking due to a family emergency. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again.

We have been staying in the Redwood at Maplewood for many years and the cabins are always clean and comfortable. The resort has a great beach, piers and views of the lake. Sam and Andrew do a great job taking care of things. Great family vacation s
One of the best fish fry ever...they had me at their Blue Gill and Perch combo! Lightly panko breaded, and the potato pancakes side was excellent. My wife had the shrimp with their homemade chips and said it was very good. The Old Fashioned was good
A little pricy for a cone/cookie dough! The place was packed. No seating inside. Another family tried to cut us in line halfway through ordering. Good ice cream and cookie dough. Kids were happy.
This place smells delicious! Lots of coffee to choose from if you're looking for coffee to prepare at home. We ordered the Screech Owl and the Eagle River Mudd Lattes with oat milk. They were excellent and definitely a place I'll be coming back to wh

Instant favorite. Great, fun atmosphere with prompt and friendly staff. The food was to die for. I'll be visiting again next time I'm in the area. Like any other bar/grill, could do without the gambling machines.
We spent the week up north in Eagle River and happened upon this delightful restaurant. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Our server helped us review Off The Chain's most popular menu items and suggested their specialty house made cocktails.
