The first thing my wife and I said when we entered our hotel room was "it's bigger than we expected!" The next was, "this is nice!"
We got a king room, and had the most enjoyable relaxing experience here. The balcony was a wonderful place to sit in the morning, the walk to and from the beach was easy and quick, and we loved the Taco Bus just downstairs as well. There's a market a few blocks down, the rooftop bar is fun to check out for a short time, but the menu is just bar food, nothing spectacular that we noticed. We tried the pretzel, it's your standard pretzel just in a fun shape. At night we were able to log in to our own streaming accounts on the smart TV and relax with a show before bed.
We only did the pool one day out of our six, and while it was fun watching the boats while sipping drinks from the edge pool, and seeing the sun go down (terrific sunset view), it was a cold walk back up to our room as the towels had run out. The breakfast is fine, nothing spectacular, but it gets something in your stomach before you start moving and you have a nice outdoor area option to eat it in too. A wonderful experience overall. We'll be returning to the Edge again. Overall, A+ grade!
Tips for travelers -
bring a towel down with you to the pool
If you're headed to the beach, take a left after the second stoplight, and stroll along the beach - makes for a relaxing walk down to the pier (or sooner if preferred).
Don't expect too much for breakfast
Food elsewhere will be better (Salty's, Taco Bus, Jimmy's Fish House & Iguana Bar, We The Pizza, Bait House are all A+ options)
Second time at this hotel, and it's just as wonderful and peaceful as before. This time, we were on the 4th floor, and compared to the top floor, WAY BETTER views. We saw dolphins in the channel within 5 minutes of walking into the room...3 it was about 3 minutes. A couple of issues we had were that the pillows were rather small, and if you like queen size or bigger, bring your own. Also, the walls are THIN. Breakfast was tasty! Never knew there was a pancake making machine out there.. but they've got one. Push a button and 2 minutes later, pancake! Lovely place
let me just say that the views from the room was outstanding. They was very clean and comfortable. The food was awesome and you must have the nachos they are phenomenal. The parking and the hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. The 1 star was for the bar on the roof. The first Lady that served us knew exactly what she was doing and how much things where ... but we visited the bar 3 other times and was charged 3 different prices for the same drinks. Then to top it all off the last night we was in the bar we noticed a mysterious 12 dollar charge on our ticket. When we asked what this was for we was informed with a straight face that it was "we charged you that if you don't tip us 20%".... Personally I was livid ... Number 1 there is no sign on your door that says I have to tip you anything .... 2 the reason your prior tips was so low is because of the push back we received on your ability to even make and serve the drink we wanted and wanted to argue with us about it even though we just had it in your establishment that day for a cheaper price mind you... lastly because of the inconsistent charges and what we felt was shaddyness on your part we never tipped 20% after our first trip. From how we was treated and you trying to sneak that charge in on our last night there I'd say we was spot on in regards to your shaddyness. what is really concerning is how many other people you have done that too that didn't catch it .... Again the hotel staff was phenomenal but the staff at the bar needs some work and training on how you EARN tips and not demanding them or STEALING them. Because of their actions we didn't attend the new years eve celebration. I would encourage everyone to check your tickets!!!!
We stayed at the Edge Hotel in early October. The front desk were very friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff were very responsive. The only thing we were disappointed in was the breakfast. We were very surprised that it did not offer bacon/sausage/scrambled eggs. A couple of days the cereal was covered and not available because there wasn't any milk.
Cathy was amazing and so pleasant. It seemed that her co-worker was not around at the busiest of times. We would eat outside and find her sitting outside while Cathy was running around inside stocking everything by herself while trying to keep up with the demand. The gentleman was very kind as well and was all by himself one day trying to keep up. Overall it was a pleasant stay. We would be more apt to stay again especially if there were the breakfast options listed above. Thank you for the awesome views.
Our stay was nice and quiet. We ordered a pork bowl from the bar by the pool, it was amazing! There is holy crepes right under the hotel and it was delicious for breakfast! The room seemed cleaned and service was great. They have a roof top bar that was a lot of fun good music and drinks! It’s also located right next to Shepard’s which has a fun night life! The only down fall I did not realize when booking is there is not beach access. Most hotels on the beach have a private beach and beach access. You have to walk a little down the street to gain beach access. It’s not a bad walk but if you have chairs a cooler or anything to drag it could be a game changer.
Wow. What a great experience with The Edge Hotel. From start to finish they did not disappoint. |We headed over to the hotel after Florida Marching Band Competition at Clear Water HS. The guy at the parking garage found our reservation right away and just asked us to go ahead and park. His demeanor was like we are VIP lol. |Check in was seamless and friendly. At 3:00 we thought we wouldn't be able to check in, but again, no problems what so ever. We got our key, headed up to our room and found everything very clean and inviting. Our room was in a corner allowing us views of both the Gulf and City. Ice was near by and we had a quiet room but very close the elevator. No noise issues and AC was on point. Room was very clean. |We were so tired, so we elected to try to roof top bar with our 15 yo for dinner. Service was slow, but the atmosphere was lively but not obnoxious. Our waiter acknowledged a slow situation and rectified it. We weren't annoyed. Not sure if the restaurant is part of the Hotel or leasing it. That is the only reason for 4 out of 5 stars. |Honestly, my husband I and I were so impressed by this experience that will stay there again, even when we have Hilton and Marriott points. I read another review about cc issues which made me back up and look at my charges with them... no problems at all. |Breakfast was amazing. I get it... A continental breakfast you think LaQuinta or something like that, but it was better. Plenty of options with fresh grapefruit, hard boiled eggs, juice, pancakes, muffins, and fresh rolls... all well taken care of by the lovely gentleman overseeing everything. We made sure to drop him a tip for his efforts because the breakfast area was immaculate. You can take your breakfast outside to view the Gulf, or eat it inside overlooking the pool.|Everything about this hotel is outstanding for the value. Location is great. You do have to walk about 4 minutes to the beach, but we weren't there for beach time besides walking on it.
Called in advanced to see if the pool will be open. They said it will be. It was closed the whole trip. We got there Thursday and when we checked in they said it will be open Friday. They took our money and the pool was never opened. Terrible customer service. They just don’t care. Do not stay here
What a beautiful location to spend the night, especially on New Years Eve!!! We loved our room, we were disappointed that the room we booked (overlooking the ocean) was not the room we got due to a mess up by the hotel, but other than that, we were happy with our stay. We did the rooftop bar New Years Eve experience. It was $30 pp and you were supposed to get 2 champagne toast, one when you get there & one for midnight, but we never got the 2nd one. Not sure it was worth what we paid, but we did have a good time. The fireworks were spectacular. The continental breakfast looked a bit boring so we went elsewhere.

Wonderful experience at this incredibly CLEAN hotel. We stayed only overnight to catch a very early morning flight. The rooms were immaculate, lots of towels, and plenty of space for us. I heard minimal noise, even though we were outside of a freeway
As a club member, this is our first experience at this location. The resort is beautiful. It has a robust gym for being a hotel/resort.
Peyton at the front desk was extremely informative and a pleasure to check in with. Of course they still want to

The manager who checked us in was friendly and helpful. For the price the rooms were nice and very large. Ask to be on the quiet side of the hotel. The free breakfast wasn't very good like the sausage was so overcooked and cold I couldn't even bite t
