It has a really nice view. You can click so many good pictures from that side. It looks surreal. I went there in the afternoon and I will recommend you to go there in the morning time if you want to click good pictures.
I give this bridge a solid 3 stars. Its not bad but its also its not the most grand. As for traversing it by foot or bike, it gets the job done, not too much foot traffic. The view of Queens or Manhattan (depending where you are coming from) is nice. The design is cool but its just not at the grandeur of some of the other bridges in this city. I prefer it over Manhattan Bridge for safety reasons but overall this bridge is just a good bridge in terms of crossing over. Can't really complain. It gets the job done and if you're in the upper east side or Long Island City trying to go to and from, its a very convenient bridge.
There are two ways to cross the bridge: waking or by tram. I used the tram. It takes less than five minutes for the ride but the queue may take a while depending on the crowd.
Views can be seen from the tram if you stand by the side, front or back. The tram is affordable and is highly recommended for some amazing views.
What a fun landmark to see, it's only $3 to go across the tram, we had a really warm day, and the ferry was awesome to get you around from one end to another, beautiful structure. 😍
The 59th street bridge is objectively the most beautiful bridge in New York. Its spectacular design and views of Manhattan and Queens are unrivaled. You get to walk alongside trains, cars, cyclists and even the Roosevelt Island cute little air tram. I loved walking this bridge 10 years ago. Now its a lot more hectic with motorbikes, bicycles, mopeds and scooters using the pedestrian lane. Its a crazy New York bridge now where you don't know if you’ll make it to the other side in one piece because of all the bikes and scooters zipping by within inches of you. But thats the thrill of nyc! If I wanted a chill walk over a bridge, there are a plethora of options. I will say that since covid, this bridge is not as pedestrian - friendly as it used to be. I love this bridge though! I have been walking it for 15 years and even to this day, I gasp every time I see it. Its just so beautiful 😍
We took the tram over to Roosevelt Island. It's just a 3 1/2 minute ride with a great view of the East River. The gate was $3.25 each way.
If you have some spare time on your hands and are looking for a different New York experience why not catch the cable car over to Roosevelt island. You can use your Metro card to ride the cable car and it takes less than 10 minutes to get from Manhattan across to the island. Once on the island you can take a leisurely walk south to Roosevelt Memorial Park, great views of Manhattan across the East River along the way. Good way to spend a few hours.
It's mind-blowing. The soothing walk across the Greenway, picturesque view, enthralling cable car experience. I would definitely recommend this place to spend all your evenings!! 🧡❤️🧡

One of my favorite bridges in the New York Metropolitan area. Apparently the pillars were inspired from the Champs-elysees in Paris. The water below is one of the most turbulent water making the bridge very important historically.

Great class. All the coaches organize classes to push you but allow you to workout to your level. The workout space is not overcrowded and the environment makes you forget youâre actually running!
