Ed Austin Regional Dog Park - Featured Reviews (599)
This park is really cool. The only reason that I gave it four stars is because there's not really much signage for knowing where you're supposed to go while driving. But the place is beautiful and it has so much to offer. I love this park so much and I will definitely be back for years to come. The separation between big dogs and little dogs is five stars for sure. Our little one had such a great time.
Probably the biggest big dog park I've ever been to. It was pretty nice people have brought in table and chairs all around the park so there was places to sit around you could tell it was a social park. Did I mention it was big? It's pretty deep and wide, there were many dogs there but there was plenty of room to roam and get off by yourself if you wanted everybody I met there was friendly including the dogs. It does suffer from the same affliction that most other dog parks suffer from and that's people just don't pick up after their pets. It's a shame too I guess they don't ever think they're going to come back again. I love their sign please pick up after your pet and help with orphan dog poop! People are so disrespectful. The trail around the perimeter was not too bad but if you ventured off toward the middle it was a minefield! I guess because the park was so big is why there was so many piles of poop. It really is pretty nice other than that there was a giant osprey nest in one of the power line towers I was able to get a couple of shots of and watched for a little while while the doggies played. This review is just for the dog park we did not use any other of the facilities this regional park had to offer. I did notice there was even poop in the park on the way to the dog park entrance, people are so disgusting.
I wish this place were closer, but the 25 minute drive is worth it. Especially during the day in hot weather, it's all shaded and cool enough to let your pup stretch their legs. I really appreciate that it's on high ground that pretty much never floods or gets muddy. It's maintained pretty well, considering it's such a big space, too. They change out the mulch from time to time. (Not sure of the maintenance schedule, but there's only been one time they were working and we had to use the small dog area.) Most of all, it's BIG. Big enough to choose your play group, or walk the perimeter and get some exercise for yourself, too. I've run into some pretty cool dog patents there, too. (Watch out for poo. With all the trees, people often don't see where their dog goes.)
Date: March 2022 Note: Free. Designated small and large Dog parks, good distance from roads. I would give this place 5 stars if it "wow'd" me and had more areas for gathering. Although it's nothing to rave about, I have found this to be a great/clean dog park. I haven't visited the large dog part of the park, but the small dog one is huge. Plenty of room to run around in. The park is mainly wooded, which is great for the hot summer days, but the primary areas for human gathering is in the front. What I like the most about the park is that its a bit secluded within Ed Austin Park so it's further away from roads than most other dog parks. It's closest to monument, but it's on the other end of the park, the dogs tend to linger around the front. My complaints about this place would fall on owners. Not picking up after their dogs or not keeping an eye out on their dogs. We've seen insiders of dogs trying to attack other dogs and the owners didn't care but thankfully have left after the incident. This is no fault of the park itself.
Clean family oriented Park to take a walk or jog. Also features an active skateboard Park dog park and baseball field.
Visited this dog park for the first time this weekend. Had a great experience! There was a section for small dogs and a section for big dogs. Lots of open space for them to run and access to water. Also a few obstacle courses and balls laying around for the dogs to play with! Lots of shade and sunny areas as well. Great please to bring the whole family and have a picnic! Lots of areas to sit as well! 5 stars!
I have 3 dogs of varying age from a year old to 14 years old and each of them enjoy this park in their own ways with whom ever is available to play. I enjoy watching regardless of if it's the weekend or while my son is at practice.
2 great fenced areas, 1 for small dogs only, and the other for any dog. Big enough that they can get plenty of exercise, and pretty much for the most part all dogs (and people) we've encountered were all good natured souls.... Negative is some old worn out and broken items littering the park (an unsafe dog course obstacle and a couple broken picnic benches)

My favorite cafe in all of Jax! Always has unique and tasty specials, that are both filling and wholesomely nutritious. My mom usually is picky and doesnât like most vegan food, but she is always eager to eat here with me and raves about the food!

Dart Bar is easily one of my favorite bars in Jacksonville. Not only do they have an amazing beer selection, but they also have some of the friendliest staff. Sarah R was my bartender last time I came in and she was extremely knowledgeable and even a
This memorial is even beautiful at night. We passed this memorial as we were leaving the stadium. We never knew it was there. It's such a shame that something this important is not in a more prominent place in Jacksonville. Yes, the stadium gets visi
Very cute atmosphere! Lots of things to do and many options if you want to try Kava or just have a normal coffee. The barista was very nice and explained all the elixers to me. I had the chunky monkey smoothie and it was very tasty. I also tried the
