Economy Inn - Motel in East Hartford - 490 Main St, USA

I was positively surprised. My non-smoking room was very clean and updated. Yes, it is motel in the middle of not nice area, and there may be weird people staying next doors, but I felt somewhat safe. Easy check in and out. Staff was okay. It served the purpose - overnight stay, hot shower and conformable bed.

Room was nice, clean (except for the jetted tub), had microwave & fridge & stand up shower. Jetted tub looked clean, filled it & turned jets on & there was brown flakes of dirt/grime that came out & looked like it hadn't been fully cleaned or run in months- year! I filled it, ran it & emptied it 5 times, with still stuff coming out! So I went to store for bleach/cleaner & filled/ran it 3 more times til I was satisfied to use it. I didn't complain to anyone but they definitely need better deep cleaning schedule of tubs! Especially for their prices ($175/night). I went to ask for another pillow, there was only 3 flat pillows on king size bed & staff seemed annoyed to have to get 1. Oh, & the key pad worked fine but the door was stuck, so you literally had to kick it to open it! But nice to check in at 2pm & out at 11am (I hate it when there's a later check in & early check out!)

I would NOT recommend to stay here , Office people are rude and threatens you with calling the police when you complain. Rooms aren’t even a comfortable place to sleep. The traffic that comes in and out this hotel is insane , people selling their selves , have people who are high on drugs passed out in parking lot or in and out of other rooms and office people don’t do ANYTHING ! You get approached by people asking if you good, needle caps outside on floor . Housekeeping is the ONLY ones who are respectful and nice. Do NOT stay here if you’re trying to find somewhere comfortable for the night or couple days!!!!! Wouldn’t even give them stars

Good place for an affordable temporary stay or emergency stay, but would not recomend for vacation stays or anything otherwise, as there is cigarette holes in the sheets in a non smoking room, and the ceiling is stained, with the bathroom having a broken pipe being tape sealed instead of repaired. The floor is also very unleveled which kinda scares me but hopefully it wont be a major deal. All and all this place does provide the essentials for a good price, but at the cost quality for rooms. Lobby has free coffee from 6-11 which is good, and housekeeping does a good job replacing the sheets and things that need to be replaced. Gavin Elias University of hartford I Entreprenural studies

The first room we had we found 2 dead cockaroaches couldn't fall a sleep and the second room we had was ok no dead bugs it was the only motel with a room and we needed it in a pinch the staff was friendly the other guest where Friendly

IM CALLING THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT FIRST THING MONDAY IM VERY GOOD FRIENDS WITH THEM AND THE MAYOR OF EAST HARTFORD I have a truck company and needed sleep to deliver to texas next day but this is a very nasty place I checked in at 7pm to room 175 and woke up at 12 a.m. to my wife screaming THERE ARE BUGS ON YOU surely I get up to notice need bugs on the white sheets and I was treated like trash by staff they just didn't care then told me wait for the manager from 12 to 7 a.m. with no sleep no clean room offered to compensate for my time I lost all my clothes due to me not wanting to carry bed bugs to my personal residence DO NOT BOOK HERE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE GUEST MY ATTORNEY WAS NOTIFIED AND I AM GOING TO WIN THIS BATTLE THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE

Surprisingly pleasant. The area is well lighted. The room is not spacious but it is economy. There is enough for a table and 2 chairs the Aircon is actually more silent than many one stayed. It's quieter area than I thought bring next to a main highway. The bed is actually very comfortable, managed to get a good night sleep. Protip. Ask for room 181. The bathroom is actually new and clean. You shower base and times are brand new so it's very nice 👍

Stayed in room 163 it's was a non smoking room yet when we walked in it smelled like cigarettes and the blankets had tons of burn holes in it, Another thing was the ceiling was leaking water and the shower was a mess wouldn't recommend staying unless it's last resort or really need somewhere to stay, get that it is economy but I should be comfortable enough to sleep.
