Economy Inn - Motel in Bessemer - 1113 9th Ave SW, USA

The people are very fake they pretend to be so nice when in reality they are rude back stabbing thieves the room are nasty you get no clean towels in room carpet is disgusting filthy. Only thing nice about this place is the air conditioner works good in what couple rooms they have them in. The house keepers will steal whatever is in your room if they see something they want. Then the so called manager Brandy will call the police on you after she let's her employees go through your room and take whatever they want. They have. Several people living their that has not ever paid not one penny.

The rooms could be cleaner. The beds coukd be better. I was worried about the location because it is such an old place, but I felt safe once I got here. I knew a few peope here from the same job my husband was on so I didn't feel unsafe. The employees were all great. They will help you with anything you need.

Very friendly staff. No problem when extra towels or toilet paper needed. Very dated rooms, but comfortable and spacious. I think it's great that they offer smoking rooms. Yes, a very nice place at a reasonable price!

UPDATE; I've stayed here again upon speaking with the owner. They have been nothing, but accommodating since. And the rooms are also better. Thanks you all for making our stay here more pleasurable! This was my 3rd time staying here, that's why we chose to go back. However, upon entering the room there was no chain to lock the door from the inside, the floors looked like they had not been swept or mopped in a very long time, roaches were very present, called the front desk to ask about changing rooms (the last 2 times we've stayed here the rooms were fine (mini fridge, air conditioning that was actually cold not a little cool, tv that worked etc. AND NO ROACHES!!) However, the only thing she said was I'll get someone to come fix the tv😮 Wow! It was so late and we were so exhausted, but would've gladly changed rooms. But, she didn't even acknowledge any of that just the TV. The next morning I talked to Mr. Mike(Owner) he said the next time we stay he'll take some off the regular price‽‽ I thought at least a free night. But, it's all good. I really and truly like Mr. Mike he's always been good to us when we've had to stay here. He does try to make thinks good for unhappy customers. Unfortunately, some of his staff couldn't care less about you or your stay.

Nice quiet motel. Worth the money. Although it's not the best looking, it does the job. Stayed here for two nights. Everyone is very friendly and quiet. We were the loud ones. Sorry about that. Also the local restaurant next door is very popular. But I ate at the subway at the hospital. Should've had those wings. Next time.

I am currently in room 218. I have been in this room for 3 days now I started in room 216 but the ceiling was leaking so they moved us next door and then we brought our dog here. The air conditioner is half in and half out of the wall and it's not keeping the room cool at all. It's the same temperature inside as it is out. We didn't pay for an extra night to sweat. We tried to get maintaince to our room 5 different times and every time the lady at the front office told us he was on his way on top of the fact she told us he knocked on our door and got no answer which was propped open from the moment it started to get warm in the room. Then the manager called after the fifth time and said that there was nothing they could do til in the morning and they won't exchange rooms with us bc we have a "giant dog". That's not even right. Our dogs fur is very thick and he could've overheated. Luckily i got several bags of ice (which they couldn't spare a second ice bucket due to the circumstances. We haven't had much of a problem here before, we just feel as if we got ripped off our last night here we addressed the issue to the front office at 10:00 p.m. we didn't find out they couldn't do anything until 12:45? We feel as if some reimbursement should be taken into effect.

Well I went there to visit some friends so I can't give you an overall experience but the room I did visit was clean it was plenty of room and the couple that was just staying in the room were happy with their holiday weekend there, I much prefer the Holiday inn Express or the Hamilton by far...

Its a little to expensive considering the sign out front says 39.98. But the staff make up for it. I love the ladies that work there. They are all super nice and each time I visit they treat me awesome. So thanks Ladies. And especially to my girl Laci. Mike she deserves a Raise lol. She is an angel.
