Economy Inn - Motel in Los Banos - 528 E Pacheco Blvd, USA

Had to rent a room for 2 days. My son was hospitalized on the second day so I asked the lady if I could get reimbursed for the second day, since we would not have to stay there after all. She shook her head No, with a smile on her face! I said, my son was hospitalized and that’s why we would not stay! She didn’t care! The room: smelled like mold or old cigarettes! Saw a roach 🪳 crawl underneath the bed! I called her and said, I thought there were no roaches?! Her answer “it’s because of all the plants outside!” 🤦🏽‍♀️ Bed: hard Towels: 2 for 3 people! And they were so stained- they looked grey!!! The maintenance guy was very kind and the housekeeping lady was very nice as well! The price $100 a night. Ice machine broken, no coffee machine.

Simple, yet well located and clean. I’m very aware about the previous reviews, in my case everything was absolutely fine. Of course there’s no luxury here but that’s what I’m paying for. A bed and a toilet. Parking lot is just fine unless you are driving a truck for some reason. There’s no phone but I struggle to understand why is that an issue. The only thing missing from the standard motel package is a coffee machine.

Positive: Darling motor court. Park in front of roonm! Negative: sheets were very clean but rough. Not a good mattress.

Mexican-style, clean and nice motel. Nothing special, it did the job. Good value for money. Staff was also very friendly. I would happily stay here again.

Friendly staff and the rooms are clean but it could use more attention to the linen. There were cigarette burns on the top sheet. Kind of hard to locate and cramped parking but I actually liked the coziness. Ice machine is broken.

No reservation, late night arrival, we woke up the proprietor, but she kindly gave us a good deal on a clean, comfortable, available room. Staff rushed over to help us check out in the morning so we wouldn't have to wait. Love these guys!

Summary: You get what you pay for. I can stay here again in a pinch just to sleep, but I'd rather not. The good: Room costs less than $90. The place looked clean and bright from the outside. It was well lighted and painted in lively colors. Bathroom has fancy tiles all over and looked clean. The bad: Although the office did say how it works, operating the door and key can be confusing. They didn't give Wi-Fi password since we forgot to ask. TV screen display is messed up. Remote can't turn on TV, can't control volume. The ugly: Room feels cheap with old and chipped furnishings, dinged thin walls, only 2 pillows on a double bed, no hangers. Towels were threadbare and insufficient. Office had a funky smell and room had a stale cigarette odor - and it says non-smoking. Beddings, though clean, had a ton of cigarette burn holes ew.
