Economy Inn - Motel in Modesto - 602 McHenry Ave #5412, USA

The hotel manager and staff are very rude and become very angry if you ask for anything ie, fresh linens or toliet tissue and if someone comes to pick you up and pulls into the establishment the manger will interrogate the driver , and demand they leaven to be in ⁷⁶then they will come to you and yell no visitors when you try and explain that they were there simply to pick you up they interrupt you and give you no chance to speak then very rudely walk away threatening to kick you at and take your deposit. Informing you that they can do that and that there's nothing you can do about it. So disappointing,

Positive: Location fitted our needs. Had your basic fridge and microwave. Negative: Got a room with no working TV. Brought to managements attention and didnt accommodate with another room. Had to listen to footsteps and bed banging noise from upstairs and downstairs tenant all night long. Working TV might have blocked noise. Negative: ""

No pool but other than no carpet in rooms ot was ok the location is only reason ot didn't get 5 stars

I like this place they had a lot of riff Raff in the past but they have stopped it, management or who ever took part in cleaning it up good job it felt safe there and there wasn't traffic outside or people just hanging out it's improving by far, it's worth checking out, Denny's isdwn the streets, walgreens and a few other convenient stores walking distance, during summer yiu can enjiy the cruising

Worst hotel ever. The guy called our room as we were unloading our belongings and screamed at us for "having guests" which we had one person helping us unload our stuff. We said fine we will leave, just give us our money back, he said okay. We went up to the window and he said "no refund, come back tomorrow after I check the room" we explained we didn't have enough money to rent another room somewhere with him keeping our funds, and he replied "not my problem" we filed a police report and came back the next day and he refused to give us our money back and said we could take him to court. Never will I stay there, or recommend anyone to ever stay there EVER. They need to be shut down!!!

Have you ever been told you COULD NOT CHECK OUT until the owner finally decides to open the office late morning? If you have an early flight or an 8am business meeting, you cannot check out of this motel! And the creepy owner charges a DEPOSIT just because he can, for nothing, on top of the room rate, which he might or might not return. ||We paid for 2 nights IN ADVANCE, plus his "deposit." Plans changed and we could only stay one night. This owner refused to give us back the night we had not used! When we suggested we would call the police for stealing our money. his response was "call the president of the USA for all I care" and said he would never rent a room to us again. No worries, we will never go near this oddball owner and his dump again. If you still decide to stay here, be sure to get a receipt! He refused us one, and now I know why. Dishonesty and rudeness is no way to run a business mr. motel owner.

This had to be the most terrible dump motel visit of my life! Let me start with this weird rule the owner has, you are not allowed to check out until he finally gets out of bed and opens the office at 10am or later! So, if you happen to have an early flight, or need to be at a business meeting by 8am, you are unable to leave. Weird? And the motel owner, who is there 24/7 charges an extra $60 "deposit" on top of the already inflated room rate just because he can. He refuses to give receipts, after paying for TWO nights in advance plus "deposit." in cash. When we had to check out after the first of the two nights, within the check out time, he REFUSED TO REFUND US FOR THE 2ND NIGHT. We suggested we might need to call the police for stealing our money, his reply "Call the president of the USA for all I care." He is rude, argumentative, and very dishonest. He dishonestly kept our money, but he has lost our long-term business and hopefully a lot of other customer's business after reading of our experience at Economy Inn in Modesto, CA The most awful motel stay of our lives!
