Economy Inn and Suites - Hotel in North Charleston - 5020 Rivers Ave, USA

When they say you get what you pay for, they ment it. I needed somewhere cheap to stay but I felt like a dog on the street. The room was filthy and stink of cigarettes and full of Roach power that didn't keep the roaches away. I ask if house keeping can clean the room ,they said they will. When I got back they didn’t. Good thing I bought cleaning products when I was out. When I tell you I did a spring cleaning like I never did before. If I had money to get a room somewhere else I would have did a uturn. Its Sad the law allows this type of robbery.

This place is something else. Everywhere else was booked because that’s what happens in Charleston whenever there is anything going on so I had to book one night here. Could not figure out why it was so vacant until I arrived. I truly cannot believe places like this really exist in hotel and hospitality scene. This place is truly there to cater to the local crack heads and junkies. The rooms are spacious. Well I am not sure if they are spacious because of the lack of furniture or what. The room consists of a lawn chair, a table and a hard mattress/box spring laying on the floor. The bathroom was a vessel style sink installed on top of a metal shelf like you would see in a restaurant kitchen. I hope they charge the roaches to stay here because otherwise I can’t see how this place is still operating

This hotel/inn is horrible. Worst place I've even been too. Theres bugs everywhere in the rooms. Spiders, roaches, nats, and flies. Its ridiculous. I'm honestly highly surprised it hasn't gotten shut down by corporate. The rooms smell like weed and cigs, and there's gross stuff all over the walls. I dont even think they have housekeeping. On top of that, the people who come in to stay are crazy loud crackheads and prostitues and they are always yelling, screaming and crying. Mainly in the middle of the night while you want to go to sleep. I brought my two babies and I heard kids running around. This place is no place for little kids or babies. Theres stray cats waundering around. (I'm allergic) The room I was in, me and my boyfriend had to bust down to get in because the door was broken like people had busted in before. The bathroom and shower is gross. The towels and washcloths feel like sandpaper and they have no soap. It's not worth it to come and stay here. Totally UNPROFESSINAL!!!

Room smelled like cat piss and they don't even give you big towels only small hand towels bring your own blankets and pillows mattress was disgusting only one outlet worked would never come back here again

My son has been staying at this hotel for work. It is convenient to his job location. The staff are very accommodating and pleasant. According to my son, it is a great deal for the money he spends. He states there have been many upgrades since his father stayed there.

0 out of 10. The most unprofessional, rude people run this motel. We had a situation within these past 24 hours where the water has been turned off and they claimed they couldn't pay compensation and it had only been for last night unfortunately i was unaware of the plumbing issue for being at work and not to mention nothing was said to anyone! The fact I can't wash myself, dishes nothing. She said the plumber was on site but would still be a few hours but still I got nothing that would help the situation now! Definitely don't recommend this place it's a waste of time and money.

One of the most disgusting hotels I've ever been to in my life. TV didn't work roaches crawling everywhere, no mirror in the bathroom. Sheets visibly filthy the people next door were fighting. It was an absolute nightmare.

This place did its job. For $58 a night on a game day weekend we were pleased. It definitely isn’t the Lowe’s but it has a bed and shower and what more could you ask for? The employees were all nice and helpful and our neighbors were talkative and pleasant.
