I was told no smoking in the room when I didn't even ask and the blanket in my room had burn holes in it. The cleaning chemicals they use were so strong I had to leave the door open for 20 min. Needless to say I slept in my cloths and left as soon as the sun was up.
We had a reservation to see the eclipse. We booked 4 months ago. They called today, 6 days before our reservation to say “something broke” and they had to cancel us. They would not give us another room at a comparable price. Looked on the website and they have openings for 4 times what we paid for the same type of room. NOT OKAY!
This place sucks. Rooms are extremely small. Extremely small. Got a non smoking room that smelled like cigarettes and weed. People walking outside the doors at all hours of the night. Room didn't even seem remotely cleaned. Never again.
The cleanest rooms I have seen in a long time
Tldr? They refused to cancel despite their policy, I closed my card so they can't charge me. So, I booked with this hotel on accident. Thought I had a different place. No cancelation link in the email, booked with the website google sent me to for the hotel. Not a 3rd party like Expedia or Trivago or the like. When I realized my mistake, and that there was no cancelation link in email, I called. Worker who answered told me there was no website, and insisted I booked through a 3rd party and they couldn't help me. Clearly, they either intend to make it hard to cancel or the website provided by Google is fraudulent. Reported to my credit card company to get the card closed and a new one issued, so they can't charge me. A pain, but a lesson learned and now shared with you dear reader.
Owners are very rude. They will yell at you and when you yell back at them, they threatened you by calling police. Someone needs to report these people because it don't make no sense how they take advantage of the police. I heard one of the owners tell a young lady the police will believe me over you smh
Clean, affordable, comfy beds, personable staff. What more could you want for an overnight break from the road?!? Microwave & mini fridge--no coffee machine, but it's sandwiched between 2 convenience stores, so there was hot brew very easily accessible.
Very rude owners. Rooms are just disgusting. Bathroom sink pipe has a leak and has the whole bathroom soak and wet. Can’t walk out the shower without the smoke alarms going off because of steam. Then the management comes banging on the door blaming you for smoking in the room ( which we were not) just plain rude and disgusting is all I can say!!!
Amazing! Definitely stop by the museum, talk to Barrie, and see his mother's collection of covered bridge memorabilia. His grandfather set the stones for the bridge. His family has been in the area since 1820
I'll be honest, I was very surprised by how good the food was here. Ashtabula doesn't exactly come to mind when I think of fine dining, but Bascule Bridge pulled out all the stops. We loved the ambiance, our waiter was hilarious and attentive, and ev
Beautiful little lookout spot and covered bridge. Nice little spot to pull over and take in the view, read the information boards posted and learn a little bit of history. The colors in autumn ð are outstanding. When my family stopped it wasn't to
We are absolutely blessed to have such a gem in our community. I have been coming here since I could hardly put one foot in front of the other. (3 yrs old maybe?) It is something special for sure. The cookies are unbelievable with the light frosting
If you are ever in Ashtabula, OH you HAVE to come here!!! Locally owned and operated (I asked). I had a signature sandwich and it came out as big as my head!!!! It has amazing flavor and the staff are so friendly, helpful, and prompt!! We came from O
