Econo Lodge - Hotel in South Holland - 17301 S Halsted St Building B, USA

This motel is situated amongst a lot of other motels near it and across the street. It's not all bad, but it's not all good. Clearly, the owners don't reinvest the money they take in for upkeep. In fact, it looks like nothing has been done to it since it was built. I'm pretty sure there's some violations, but the town looks the other way because of $$$. There are better motels nearby, so if you have the funds, stay there.

(ZERO STARS) Worst place I've ever stayed in my entire life. They start by asking for a lot of bureaucracy regarding the age of guests, and it's not explicitly stated on their website at all, but what do you expect from a place like this? Totally 0 organization! They said that smoking was prohibited in the room, but as soon as you open the door, there's a very strong smell of cigarettes, which makes you wonder if they really checked the room before you arrived! Not to mention that the toilet seat is full of marks where previous guests put out their cigarettes and the hotel didn't even bother to change it to give some credibility. The room I was in didn't have a carpeted floor (thank God), but the smell was still horrible, the covers were stained with God knows what, with some holes in them, the pillow was small and didn't even look like a pillow, the water came out of the tap with no pressure at all, just drops of water. The bathtub made a very strange noise with any movement you made, as if it could break at any moment, which is super dangerous. Every time you take a shower, the tiny bathroom gets soaked, the toilet has no lid, and it was clogged from the moment I arrived until the day I left (4 days with the toilet clogged), someone went there to look but no success, they just told us not to throw paper in the toilet (??) In short, the whole time you stay in the room you feel terrible, because of the smell, the dirt or some other bad thing. I won't even mention the neighborhood...

The only reason I'm giving this stay one star is because the room was actually cleaned and there were no vermin despite how sketchy it was. Everything else about this stay was horrendous. The room was clean but it had an odor to it. It was supposed to have cable but half the channels didn't work and then of the half that did work half of those stopped working. The refrigerator didn't get cold like it was supposed to. The Wi-Fi didn't work properly at all and I couldn't use it. The staff for not helpful at all you could rarely find anyone at the counter there was always a sign up saying be back in 15 minutes. The free continental breakfast actually wasn't a breakfast at all it was a muffin and a drink and both was cold and there was nowhere for you to heat it up unless you went back to your room. The ice machine was not even a part of the building you have to go to a different building to get the ice. I don't know what kind of laundry detergent they use but it's itchy and it irritated my skin. The pillows were not actual pillows I'm not quite sure what they were because they did not fit all the way in the pillowcase in fact the pillowcase had to be folded and tucked in because it was still room from the pillow not being big enough to fit in it. Basically just because it's cheaper than the surrounding hotels does not mean it's better. Also please don't believe the pictures that you see online. The rooms are a lot more run down than they show on the online. It is not worth saving a couple of bucks. Would not recommend like at all ever not even to my worst enemy.

Positive: Nothing Negative: I forgot my belongings there. Called them to let them know and was told to come get it. Could not make it back there that same day so I went the next day to my surprise they could not find my belongings

This was the WORST hotel I’ve ever booked on Priceline. Door locks were easily accessible. Loud music. You could hear the adjacent room whole conversation. The tv had a fuzzy picture like the cable was pirated. I knew I couldn’t or it would be too difficult to get a refund so I just didn’t stay there. I didn’t actually see bugs but the room was clean and I knew they were there. I’m 6’3 and was told the only room available was a full sized bed. I should have believed the bad reviews. Priceline needs to stop doing business with this hotel. I would have gave them 0 stars if that was an option. Normally I would have took photos but I didn’t stay long enough to.

Booked online . Pictures must be from there best freshly repaired room . Maintainence is lacking as is cleaning do to lack of help Bed is hard with soft pillows Room was runing heat on 80 and ac on 70 Bathroom door putty repair from a fist punched . Tub set incorrrect . After my bath water still in tub that can not drain. Over all the room was good for the fair price of 51.00 a day Reviews ! I do not normally leave one. But i read alot of others. And I Dislike places that managers post a reply to every reveiw. Do something about the bad reveiws like fix the issues. Some post 2 and 4 years old and nothing has changed. And the hot tubs in every room. A bath tub is NOT a hot tub. Lol After 1 night i rebook two more nights while my truck was getting work done at the dealer. The staff was great. Both evening and day . The laundry was being washed . I would definitely return and save over places charginging 125 plus

No wifi and If your lucky to get some its not reliable, my room was OK for the most part but remember you get what you pay for so good luck people. Oh yeah and even though checkout is at 11am you will get your for knocked at 9:30-10am asking for payment smh.
