Pleasantly Surprised!!! Didn’t expect much just got the cheapest place to stay for a few hours of sleep after a long drive before going to Shenandoah National Park. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and in good condition. Breakfast was good (eggs, biscuit and gravy, muffins, fruit and waffles) pool looked nice and it’s right in town and still only a few minutes to the National Park. I was very happy with my stay and I believe the is the cheapest price I have paid for a hotel in 20 years or so.

Everything was perfect! We received a warm welcome, a very clean, cool room, and a super comfortable bed/pillows. The free breakfast was amazing! Food consisted of scramble eggs, mini biscuits and sausage gravy, mini muffins, a waffle maker, a toaster, yogurt, cereal, and banana. Hot coffee and 3 types of juice were also a plus. After riding a full day on Skyline Drive, it was a pleasure to call the Econo Lodge home!

For the past 3.5 years we have always stayed at this hotel when exploring the surrounding areas and, though it is nothing special, it was always what it promised--a 2-star with a bed and some breakfast. This past stay will have been our last stay ever. We've typically always been assigned to the secondary building, despite the no smoking signs, nearly every guest openly smokes in and outside the building. The common areas are filthy and reek of cigarette smoke and the rooms are not much nicer. Finally, the guests staying in the secondary building are very concerning, especially to a family with children, many of them appeared to be homeless, some looked super rough like they were doing drugs, and some rooms appeared to have many different men coming to see the women inside. At one point we had a police car stationed in the lot in front of the building and then the following day, one in the parking lot across the street. Yikes. All this to say, I would never recommend this place to anyone I know. Pay the few more bucks and stay anywhere else.

Avoid at All Costs: Nightmarish Experience with Bedbugs I am writing this review at 4am and sleeping in my car instead. My stay at Econolodge/Quality Inn in Waynesboro was an absolute horror. Upon entering the room, everything seemed superficially clean, but appearances were deceiving. The mattress had blood stains and there was a shocking biohazard stain on the bed frame that resembled a crime scene clean-up gone wrong. It appeared as though someone had been seriously injured on that bed, which was deeply unsettling. The worst part? Bedbugs. Shortly after settling in, bedbugs started crawling out from the base of the bed. It was a nightmare. I had to check out at 4 am because I couldn't bear the thought of spending another minute in that room. When I asked for another room, I was told there was no guarantee that adjacent rooms wouldn't have the same issue. To add insult to injury, the clerk was unable to provide an immediate refund, leaving me out of pocket for a room that was essentially uninhabitable due to hygiene concerns and safety hazards. As a result of this ordeal, I am covered in bedbug bites, which are incredibly uncomfortable and have left me deeply disappointed with this establishment's standards and customer service. The back building is used to house homeless people and presents a risk and hazards to guets who might be otherwise unaware. There was blatant drug use in the hallway despite the no smoking signs. Safety is a big issue here for families and women as there is a lot of transient activity in the hallway Sleeping in my car is uncomfortable but a better option that being in any room of the hotel. Overall, I strongly advise against staying at Econolodge/Quality Inn Waynesboro until they address these serious cleanliness and pest control issues. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I would caution anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere for accommodation.

Bed was very uncomfortable. This location needs an update. Furniture, linen and towels are all old. Breakfast was okay and service was fine.

Everything is very old (furniture, towels, linen, fittings, carpet, building) and needs a complete renovation. You can't take money for this(

Horrible customer service and the people who work there stole my money. They should be shut down.

The hotel's fire alarm went off at 10:30 p.m. and all hotel guests had to vacate the property and stand outside, many in their pajamas, in sub freezing temperatures and high winds. After approximately 15-20 minutes guests realized there was no fire

I have reviewed the east side, now for the west. This side is way more of a workout getting to and from the tunnel. More of a woodland trail where you eventually make your way to the black fence and tunnel, but with a lot of ups and downs. The tunnel
