Econo Lodge Truman Inn - Hotel in Sedalia - 3501 W Broadway Blvd, USA

I found the Econolodge to be a pleasant, friendly place to stay. I was greeted by a front desk manager who was knowledgeable and friendly, able to match my wit with hers, and deliver a clean, comfortable room for a very reasonable price. I don't stay in expensive places. They are fine for those who wish them. When I travel, I want to feel secure, in a clean environment, and pay a reasonable amount. Econolodge / Truman Inn met those expectations precisely. The breakfast area was the cleanest one I have seen in some time. The breakfast provided was good. All the staff of which I asked help were helpful. Well done. I will stay here again when I am going through Sedalia again.

For an Econo Lodge it is excellent. Room was close to the check in area but very quiet. Very efficiently run. Staff are very gracious and helpful, ask several times if there is anything we needed. Constantly cleaning public rooms. Good, standard breakfast. Nice pool for kids to play in. That said, typical cheaper motel thin, short towels, short toilet, peeling paint on bottom of bathroom door. Nice curved shower curtain, sheets were very comfortable. Tv had no local stations, but we weren’t really interested in watching tv which was on the smaller side

I was traveling home from the Ozarks. My car broke down, and I had to find a place to stay while the parts arrived to fix my car. My dog was with me, so I began looking for pet friendly hotels. Not much available close to the car dealership. I found a hotel, and when I arrived, it was an extra 37 for the dog, not stated on Expedia or the website. Customer service was slow, and I was asked which room I wanted, I said second floor, then they said they couldn’t give me the second floor. Fine, so I got a room on the first floor across from the pool and hot tub, and they looked fine. I got to my room and my nose was accosted by the smell of smoke and bad body odor. The walls, electrical outlets, room switches were filthy and stained. There were dead bugs on the floor and refrigerator was dirty and unplugged. There is an iron hanging on the wall with no plug. The hair dryer cord is yellowed and dirty. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom are dirty, old and need to be replaced. The floor was dirty, and the floor around the toilet is wet, from an apparent leak. The TV is tiny, the furniture is cheap, dirty and old. The chair is threadbare. The internet is slow and useless. I cannot tell you how disappointing this hotel was. I recommend do not stay here.

The front desk guy was really nice. The building is run down and old. You can see it was a nice hotel for back in the day but it’s run down now. We didn’t even want to try the pool after looking at our room. There was mysterious brown specks on the walls, the floor was disgusting to where we didn’t walk anywhere without shoes, the metal was rusted everywhere, the dresser drawer kept opening on its own, the towels and sheets seemed clean but it was in question, breakfast was a sad disaster; the waffle machine was disgusting and burnt over, there was 1 bagel and 1 piece of bread in plastic bags, and nothing else. The apple juice had something in it when we poured it in our cup so we just left to have food somewhere else. The biggest thing I would say was that our door to our room would not close! It would not lock from the key card and not matter how hard we tried it would only work 5% of the time. We had to lock our door and dead bolt it while we were there to keep it closed and locked. Would not stay here again.

The front desk person was incredibly rude. The hot tub was actually kind of perfect. The pool was not heated. Not sure if that was because somethingnwas broken or if it was not meant to be. It was ice cold. I stepped into pool and realized OH MY GOD COLD! The second step I took I noticed pool was dirty, and what looked like poop floating towards me..I step back out and went a showered. That's when I found hair on the tub and counter beside the sink.. sauna was locked up. There was not carpet or art work on the walls and the base of the bed was made of metal, which cause and echo. It made the room feel empty, and loud. The mattress was comfy, and the sheet were cleaned. The cleaning person had just finished up as we were checking in and there were streaks all over the mirror and the hair really grossed me out. No towels in the pool area had to bring the one that was in the room with me after I showered had to use hand towels. If it wasn't for the hair I would stay again simply for the hot tub. Like I said it was perfect

This hotel was horrendously bad. The deadbolt did not lock, the TV stand was broken so it tilted to the right, couldn’t watch anyway as the remote had no batteries. The refrigerator didn’t work neither did several of the lights. The front desk wasn’t helpful they just suggested we “plug the cord in” which we had already done when we first arrived. The building is undergoing renovation and is covered with construction dust and debris everywhere. The toilet seat wouldn’t stay up, the towels were old and smelled funny and the blankets were stained. Won’t ever stay here again, even as an economy hotel, this place was overpriced and underperforming.

Outdated and gross. King size bed with 3 pillows and one of which is practically a pillow case with zero fluf. Bathrooms gross, and had to wait awhile to get the room. This place gives off the vibe of a hidden camera watching me. Won’t be back and don’t recommend.

My husband and I were displaced from our home due to a car lot here in Sedalia being a fraud, causing us to be homeless and without a vehicle.. A church here in town helped us get a room at the Econo Truman Inn, to help us in our time of need.. Prices are great here considering the quality of the hotel. Rooms are vey clean and comfortable, staff is vey helpful and made us feel more at home than other motels they have breakfast in the morning as well as hot coffee all day. a nice quiet atmosphere in the hotel, with a sauna, pool and hot tub, all of which are clean and well maintained. They are pet friendly and truly seemed to care about our situation. In fact we have chosen to stay here at the Econo lodge Truman Inn until we can find another house. If this where a place to rent monthly I do believe we would continue to rent from these kind folks. I will be telling friends and family to stay here from now on when they come into town to visit.
