No stars… this hotel is really bad. Roaches everywhere don’t stay here. Very pest friendly! Bad hotel. Both of my dogs now have fleas. They did not have them before we stayed but now they do. Thanks Econo Lodge. I did check for bed bugs but did not find them. So that’s good but roaches and fleas - Check!
Right out the gate there was a cockroach in bathtub. Hot water is luke warm at best. Let it run for two hours did not get hot. Tried several attempts. Tried stopping and letting it sit for a few hours and started over again no change. After letting it run for very long time.
Basura! Is all I can say. Roaches in room, Priceline said there was a pool but they covered the whole thing to make more parking. Wouldn’t had booked it I would’ve known but we had already paid. The plus side is that it was cheap and close to everything
I recently stayed at Budget host inn or Econo lodge and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me warmly and made me feel welcome. Despite being close to the main road, the room was surprisingly quiet, allowing me to relax and unwind without any disturbances. We decided to stay here because they advised that there was a pool, however they didn’t have one. Extremely disappointed!! Everything is very old and outdated. The rooms smelled very bad and they had cockroaches. The outlets also did not work to charge anything.
High rates. Bad service. 👎 No-Go hotel. Knights Inn is cheaper better breakfast better rooms. Flies are always inside rooms.
The owner is rude to women. Expecting women to take their dog out back by the trucks with no lighting or security. Was being harassed by non English speaking illegals, the owner did nothing about it. I worked early in the morning so I had to carry my gun with me for protection. This place is a dump. Not to mention right off 35 that goes straight to Mexico! They even changed their name from the Belton Host to the Econo lodge. The owner is so cheap he cemented the pool in so he wouldn't have to pay for the insurance.
Outside is old but don't let that discourage you. Stayed multiple times over the last few years, and each time it has improved, I can see the effort put into maintaining the place. Beds are comfortable, clean linens, even little things like a shower cap with the towels. No breakfast, might be lucky to get coffee, but the Cefco is right next door. It's worth it, owners are nice, it is a safe and relatively quiet place, and should not be overlooked.

Great service and shaved ice! Tons of specialty flavors. I got the Wildcat, which had cream and Blue Coconut. Regular size is huge and comes in a bowl. Plenty of syrup. Seating area is available outside. Would come back again.
Very pleased with our dinner here tonight. Friendly and attentive staff, nice beer/wine on self serve tap and great food! We had the hummus, lentil soup, side salad and Ettouffe which all came out promptly and was all so flavorful! Will def return.
