Econo Lodge North - Hotel in North Charleston - 7415 Northside Dr, USA

I’ve stayed here on multiple occasions and I always come back because the staff Richard Rodney, Mark Miss Jan they’re all amazing people. They actually care and they want you to enjoy your stay. They want you to get the most out of staying in an unsafe area but still yet feel comfortable, they take precautionary measures. They have security these people care about their customers and their customer service is above par. They are always trying to make the best out of everything they do.and it shows. Thanks

Booked 2 rooms with some friends upon arrival security was doing rounds looking for someone. When we entered the rooms, after quick examination, did not see any bed bugs but there were definitely roaches. The sheets were dirty and stained, looked like they were flipped over to appear cleaned. The refrigerator wasn’t cleaned out, it had left over alcohol in it. Then the real winner was a used condom on the floor next to the bed behind the night stand. So we asked for a different room seeing as we didn’t feel like staying in that room with young kids with us. Our friends later discovered very large roaches in their room. All of this was discovered within 30 minutes of us being there. We then decided to change hotels but the real kicker is that the staff booked the room with the condom in it after we had made them aware of the situation. No employee cleaned the room after our complaint. We were told by the night staff only partial refund could be done to remedy the situation, which will take about 4 days to hit our bank account.

Check in was easy. People were nice.. The room needed work. Wasn't sure what the multiple stains were. Room had roaches. My room was close to Ashley Phosphate...very noisy. Not to exclude the guests that were loud. Had an ironing board but no iron. Clerk couldn't find one. There were 2 police cars at near the Lobby Area later that evening. Something happened. Won't even talk about breakfast. The remote couldnot adjust the volume.

Went in the room right after check-in sit on both beds, they both dropped to the ground outside in the parking lot. Look like a mix of drug users and drug sellers. I would not recommend staying here with your family so we left and got a room somewhere else

The older lady at check in was very unpleasant I have no words to explain this place it was filthy,we requested a non smoking room we walked in and it smelled like nothing but cigarettes. I had to kill a roach before I stepped both feet in the room then I stepped in the room and killed another roach. The floor was nasty it hadn't been cleaned there was an old toothbrush by the sink on the floor. Only one bed had a spread on it. We had to go to Walmart to get Lysol and bathroom cleaner we slept in our clothes we couldn't bring anything in and we had to eat our food in the car. People hung outside on the stairs all night. This place was horrible. No I didn't tell the front desk she already had a bad attitude like she didn't like her job but working here 😞 i could see why.

Would not recommend. Non-smoking room smelled of cig smoke and cleaning products. Cleaning product couldn't cover the smoke smell and I had trouble sleeping due to the stifling unpleasant smell. Lingering smoke smell and chemical irritant caused bouts of coughing. Sheets were damp and stained brown in some parts. Drifters and other loud shady people about, didn't feel safe. Rooms are dated and worn. Old chair had a hole in, paint peeling from toilet seat. For $10 - $20 more you could definitely find better.

I frequently stay in the north area of Charleston and find that the best customer service is given by the staff at the Econo Lodge in North Charleston off of Ashley Phosphate. Mrs Jan is a great resource for any place you want to go. As well as getting your needs met in a jam. From wardrobe emergencies to midnight cravings. She makes it happen! Rodney is a jack of all trades! Fixing everything from the ceiling to the floor. The staff is very resourceful and quick to get things done. Hands down the best customer service in the industry.

This was a very unpleasant experience. Our room looked nothing like the pictures online. There was mold on the ceiling and paint peeling off the walls. The beds looked dirty and had burn marks in the sheets. There was a lot of drug use on the property and even narcaan devices that had been used laying in the parking lot. A lot of people walking up and down who seemed to be really high on something. The later it got the more trashy it seemed to become. We will not be returning to this hotel again. Not worth the $120.00!
