Econo Lodge Middlesboro - Hotel in Middlesboro - 1623 Cumberland Ave Building A, USA

Absolutely disguested with the management at this hotel. A car drove into my house and I needed a place to stay, so I came here looking for a room. I explained this to the night time people, they took my ID. Then proceeded to ask if I was local and I said yes. They pointed out a policy that said "non-locals". Alright fine, I get that maybe there's an issue with local rifraft, and people of that nature but they wouldn't even try to accomodate me and my mother in our emergency situation. Policy also allows for discretion. Learn to use some once in a while. The only reason I came to this hotel is because it is the only pet friendly hotel near where I work and live that had more than one night available that I felt comfortable staying at.

This location could benefit from some upgrades, and basic maintenance. Upon entering the room and trying to use the shower, it was apparent that the drain was seriously clogged. The staff logged the issue, and maintenance attempted to address the issue the following day without success. Rather than go through the process again, I picked up some Drano myself, and treated the issue with success. Later that day, I was surprised to return to a room that had not been serviced by housekeeping. The front desk explained that you had to request housekeeping by 9:00 a.m. the day prior to receive services, which was never explained upon check-in, and is not a common practice with any Econo lodges that I've stayed at. With a little bit of tweaking, and better attention to detail, this could be a very desirable location for business and for families, but currently is used primarily by contractors on the move, and they tend not to expect a higher caliber of services, so the facility and staff do not step it up. There are other options in the area for lodging, and you may want to explore them. The continental breakfast was the bright side, and so the visit was not all negative. Hope they improve their services, and also do a better job of checking the rooms to ensure that they are ready for the next guest.

After reading the reviews on here I was a little skeptical about booking. I'm glad I didn't listen to the reviews and decided to see for myself. Yes, the outside of the hotel is dated and could be updated. However, the staff at the front desk is SUPER friendly and very nice. The room itself exceeded my expectations. It was very modern, updated and clean. Everything worked in the room and the shower is a large walk in with nice doors. The sheets are the MOST comfortable sheets I've ever slept on in my life. I consider myself a little bit of a snob when it comes to hotel accommodations and I wasn't very optimistic about staying here. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. I already have another stay booked here in three weeks. Just keep in mind, most people will go online to leave negative reviews over the stupidest things but not many will go online to leave positive reviews. Listen to the positive reviews and ignore the negative ones. We stayed in room 219 with a king size bed. The pictures of the rooms online is what our room looked like.

Great experience! Very friendly service, clean, quiet room. We left my Husband's cane in our room. I called them as soon as we noticed. They had it in their office. Once they found out we were already 4hrs down the road, they boxed it and mailed it at no charge to us. What great customer service!

The floor by the toilet felt like it was going to pave and every time we sat down. The woman told us the rooms were newly remodeled. And that service had just cleaned. It had the hardwood floor so I took my shoes off. My socks were black on the bottom. Towels are really rough. And out of 4 nights there 2 of the nights young people were partying outside of their room at almost midnight. Then one night I did call the office because I needed to go to sleep and a party started around 10 pm. They did come quite them down. We had not stayed at this hotel and years. I probably won't ever go back there.

Seen some mixed reviews of this place but decided to try anyway. I was pleased with the price and even more pleased with what I got for the price. It’s not a 5 star hotel by no means but everything was fresh and clean for our one night stay. Will visit again when I return. Thank you Econo Lodge.

Came in after booking online the night clerk was extremely rude right off.not hello how are you ,or welcome just I need your driver's license. Then we we got to our room there was leaves and dirt on floor .the outside door Mats look as if they have never been cleaned .came in side live and dead stink bugs all over the walls the shower /tub stopper was broke just laying on the side of tube there was dirt on shower wall and tub.we stayed here when our jeep club rode 16 creeks before .but I would never stay here again.

When you first walk in the beds appear uncomfortable, but they were surprising not. Front desk clerks were super nice. Could use some detail cleaning on bathroom walls.
