Located just off the highway and not far from the main part of town, it's not a bad hotel. It's under new ownership and the owner was an absolute blessing for my family. He was able to get us situated quickly with a room close to the entrance after our bad experience at the Red Roof and was very knowledgeable about the area. As far as the room itself, it wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst. A bit outdated, but nothing broken, at least. Could tell the room hadn't been used in a while. The beds could probably use a good cleaning, if that's possible. They were more comfortable than my bed at home 😂 and thank goodness there were no bedbugs. I liked the pillows, too. The air conditioner was fully functional and cooled off the room quickly. The breakfast in the morning was about typical for most economy hotels. The biscuits and gravy were a pleasant surprise though! If I come through again on my way home, I may stay here again. Will check back again next year to see how it's going when I come through on my usual trip. Can definitely say this place isn't bad for the price. Thank you again so much for all of your help during our stay!
It was great for the price. Very good service. You could tell they were trying to do upgrades. The room had a bit of a funny smell but it was ok. The breakfast for the price was great!
Positive: The nice pool. The microwave and large fridge, the price for 2 beds. Friendly staff. Other visitors were friendly. Places to sit outside. Negative: Pool needed the water skimmed. A little mold in the bathroom, bathroom needs remodeled but was nicer than some other hotels I have stayed at. But mold is a natural occurrence in a small wet drywalled space.
We checked in and went into the hallway, which smelled terrible and the carpet was pretty gross. In our room, the furniture actually looked updated and kinda nice. I went to check the beds (I always do, everywhere I stay) and there were stains all over the sheets.... needless to say, we went back to the front desk and asked for a full refund and canceled the reservation. They didn't give me a hard time at all and were very nice about it. So customer service gets great stars but honestly, worth it to pay more somewhere else.
It was okay for the price! I got to sleep and that was enough for me! The rooms were clean but dated. The breakfast was dreadful though! I was so excited to eat, and when I got there, nearly everything was empty. Biscuits and gravy, but the gravy was empty and the biscuits were stale. Nearly empty carton of milk to go with only raisin bran or cheerios. I got waffles, which were good, but again, the batter container was nearly empty! It's not THAT big of a deal but I'm a total foodie and was really hungry! Overall though, I'd stay again if I was just passing through, especially for how cheap I got the room!
Never have I walked into a room and felt like I needed a shower because the room was so dirty, yet I didn't want to use the restroom because it was just as dirty as the rest of the room. Our room smelled, the bedspread had stains, the sheets on both beds had hair. We asked for new sheets but didn't get new bottom sheets. One set of clean sheets were stained from someone having intercourse. The bathroom floor had hair and dirt over them and were sticky. The bathroom did have towels, shampoo & conditioner but no hand soap. The walls in the room had stains as well as a calendar pinned to it. The chair was stained. We cleaned things down with clorex whites and they showed dirt. The tv had a scratch. The door had the basic lock only. We would not recommend!!!
This hotel is under new management, and from what I've seen and heard, it is definitely a good thing. I had a talk with the new manager, and he is really polite and easy to talk to. If I'm ever back up here, I will definitely look at staying here again!! Will also recommend this hotel to others when they are traveling!!
I don't know how anyone can rate above 1 star. This place is downright disgusting. I was surprised there were no bed bugs. Didn't dare touch the breakfast or coffee based on the rest of the hotel. Lobby looked nice and clean, but beyond that was completely littered with trash and dirt. Remote was not the one for the TV. Volime was too low to even hear and remote did not work to turn it up. Buttons on actual tv were locked, so the TV was basically useless. There was also a giant bug that had clearly been there for some time and they just left it there. Sketchy people staying there as well, so im sure there will he bed bugs soon enough.Wished I hadn't paid for 2 nights before seeing how bad it was. RUN from this disaster!! Keep in mind, this is coming from someone who grew up on the Milwaukee, WI area saying it's nasty and trashy, so..
Was in town for a wedding and had a flawless stay at this hotel. Great breakfast bar: eggs, bacon, waffles, and fresh fruit! Add 2 hard-working Country Inn employees who kept the food coming and the tables fastidiously CLEAN! Did I say BACON? Lots of
Updating my old review: This will once again become my favorite hotel in the area. The newly updated rooms are a nice change of pace and I found all of the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. The gateway has done a good job bringing things up to

Innamoratissimo! The cityâs definitive hole in the wall cafe downtown, under what was the old Bike World / Two Wheel Travel on Kellogg and Main. Great aesthetic, not too big nor too small. NOT wheelchair accessible due to the almost microscopic sta
My girlfriends and I had a blast celebrating my bachelorette party with an evening cooking class with Patrick and Rachel. The set-up, meal selection, and experience were all very thoughtful and not to mention delicious! Setting up the class was easy,
