Econo Lodge - Hotel in River Falls - 1207 St Croix St, USA

Stayed for a few days for a "staycation". Staff was really friendly, rooms were probably the cleanest I've ever seen and I've been at dozens of hotels, many more expensive. Price was fair. Pool's open late, but as others have said, no hot tub but that's okay, the pools pretty big and warm. Ice machine, pop machines, candy machines, and its across the street from Kwik Trip and other food joints. Plus the included breakfast is awesome for the price, its a hidden gem for a standard hotel. I enjoyed my stay and will return in the future.

Friendly staff. Should book rooms apart from each other, especially joined rooms. I was a long stay, one week. The back end of the hall door was unlocked and commonly slammed shut. Breakfast bar was great and well stocked. The pool is warm no hot tub though. Overall I had a good stay.

I stayed here recently for a friend's wedding that I was in. There was a lot of miscommunications on how the rooms were being split up that had little to do with the hotel staff BUT the fact that when I tried to talk it out with one of the staff a few times he was always very short and seemed annoyed while I was being very nice and respectful with the way I spoke to him. I also am upset because I called multiple times to speak with someone to address one of my charges to my account and the staff kept saying they couldn't help with that but would tell the owner to contact me, that happened twice and still the owner never called. On top of this, the room smelled like mildew and always seemed damp, also in my room the light in the toilet/shower area was missing its cover so it was basically a hole in the ceiling with wires and it was just above the shower which is a huge hazard. The rooms were ridiculously overpriced. I had reserved the room 10 months in advance for the wedding and for one night it was $135! This is worth $60 a night at best, plus the breakfast was awful, I have had better breakfast at rural motels than this place. Overall, the experience was terrible, and I would suggest that if you are debating on paying a little more to stay somewhere else then do it, this place is only good for its location and that is it!

Positive: It was in the small city I was visiting, reasonably comfort Negative: I was especially frustrated that there was no USB port in the room. That's inexcusably behind the times. The heater was pretty noisy and ran on and off a lot. My room was next to the vending machines and lobby, so those were a source of noise too. Negative: ""

Great hotel! I was initially hesitant to book because it's not that expensive (which - in my experience - usually means the hotel is not that clean), but this place exceeded all expectations and was excellent. Very clean, inside and around the property. Great staff. Would stay here again. Overall, highly recommend stopping in this town. Great businesses, including nearby distillery. Everything in the town is so clearly taken care of. And great nearby park/forest with trails for walking/running.

Had an extended stay here (almost 2 weeks) with my 2 year old and the stay was good. The location is great being as it’s not on a busy road and having a back parking lot was very convenient for my kiddo to safely ride on his toys and we were able to play on back grass area without worrying about cars coming in and out. The pillows are awesome! And the beds very comfortable. The ac worked great and cools room down fast, plus it was nice to have a window to open as well for fresh air. The room was clean and very well put together. The bathtub has great water pressure and I was able to relax comfortable in a bubble bath. The breakfast is good. Multiple items and options to make your own food. Drinks and muffins….ect. Nice little area to sit and eat. All staff were pleasant. I don’t have any complaints about stay.

Upon arrival, the room was ok as they were airing out the room with the window open. That was because the air conditioner left a stale bar smell when on. I asked for towels and toilet paper. Took 30 minutes for her to get back to me on that. Leaking freezer which left water all over the fridge. Shampooing the carpet at 8 pm right in front of our room.

This is a hidden gem. An Econo lodge with a pool, very clean, great cold breakfast. Wonderful accommodating staff. Better than the nearby Comfort Suites. Always stay here when we are in the area.
