Econo Lodge Elmira-Corning - Featured Reviews (397)
The older reviews on Trip Advisor reflect an old, dingy hotel, but that's not the case anymore. This hotel is in the process of renovating, so we had a VERY clean room. It appears that everything made of fabric was replaced: floors, bedding, curtains, chair. The new floors look like luxury vinyl wood planks, the office chair looks like black leather. The new bedding has a light washable bedspread/top. Also, the shower looks like it has been replaced. Honestly, it was sparkling clean.||Also, the front desk associate, Kejal, was very professional and helpful. She went above and beyond with all of our needs. Truly exceptional. ||Great value! And decent location with several fast food and chain restaurants within 1000 feet. Very convenient.
The customer service here was a exceptional! Kejal was super helpful with all of our needs, and it's very professional, friendly and calm. She also went above and beyond for me and my husband; we had left an electronic diabetic blood glucose monitoring system in our hotel room, and we didn't realize it until we were out of state. Upon our request, Kejal was able to track it down through housekeeping, turn it off, and mail it to us in Illinois. ||||We are so incredibly grateful to Kejal. Her customer service skills are truly exceptional.
If you are looking for a place to lay your head for the night this hotel will do. It is well located near I86. There are several choices for dining, sit down or fast food, within walking distance or a short drive. The rooms are no frills so don't expect fancy decor. My room was clean, bath could have used a little updating but for the price was fine. Even though there is a major highway behind this hotel it was very quiet. Even traffic going in and out of the Dairy Queen in front was not that noticeable. My only suggestion is to make sure you have slippers or socks to wear while walking around room as it is laminate over concrete so the floors are cold. Not sure if there is the same issue with cold floors on second floor. Heat and A/C worked fine. Staff at check in/out were cordial so no complaints with them. If you need to purchase personal items or just wander around a store there is a Target, Walmart and shopping mall close.
The motel is in a great location. Restaurants, groceries, and more near you.
There is no complimentary breakfast! The rooms themselves are dated and really show their age. The shower did not really have hot water. It was so cold I couldn't go in fully.
Next time I would pay more just for a warm shower and a complimentary breakfast that actually exists.
Service was great though.
I'll start with bad. End with good.
There are pretend refreshments out front. Everything is broken or falling apart besides the tv. The clientele is not the ones you wanna be around generally. Reeks like weed at all times, which is okay when you're somewhere that you get the occasional wiff, but it's almost like the theme of the entire hotel is "eau du weed all the time everywhere all at once."
The good: it's close to a lot of food I guess, but the other hotels in the area are close to the mall with better food options. The Tv gets lots of channels to choose from. That's it's shining star. It was relatively clean. Larger fridge than other hotels.
This is a $30-$50 a night hotel at best.
The pricing does not reflect what this place is. You can get another hotel for the same price give or take $10 for 400% the quality and a continental breakfast.
Rooms are being renovated. New rooms are better than old ones. No breakfast. Location is amazing!!
Positive: Customer service. Negative: It stated on my itinerary the hotel provided free breakfast. It did not. False advertisement.
Positive: Nothing Negative: Everything the alarm in room went off for no reason they didn?t have hot water at night was extreamly luck warm would not stay there again
Yooooo! If you live or work or occasionally visit Elmira you need to check out this place. Lucky 7 Deli on the corner of Walnut & Washington (used to be a Byrne Dairy).
They make all kinds of things but it's a Mediterranean/Middle East style kitchen
Made it to Elmira on a return trip from the Finger Lakes. This University campus is gorgeous and full of beautiful old buildings. This was not the original home for the study but has become its final resting place. It wasn't open the day we visited b
So impressed with this hidden gem. I had no idea this place was a restaurant for the first 3 years living here. Now I visit weekly. The fettuccine Alfredo and harvest salad are 10/10. My go to favorites.
Awesome store always love coming here. Awesome place to bring someone. So many animals to look at. They have birds, fresh and saltwater fish, bunnies, chinchillas, hamsters, ferrets, ginni pigs, mice, shrimp, and even living coral decor for your fish
Takes a lot to impress me. Food and service were excellent. This was a first and definitely not our last time! Prices are good, too! I recommend getting their cinnamon toast, so yummy!ð
