Econo Lodge Ellensburg Near University - Hotel in Ellensburg - 1390 N Dolarway Rd, USA

We stopped last minute due to a storm at 9:30pm. Bailey on the phone was helpful with creating the reservation. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly. The room (double queen on the ground floor) was clean. Water ran clear and hot. Shower pressure was awesome, however even with the shower curtain the entire bathroom floor was wet from the shower. Shampoo and body wash available in dispensers in the shower. Sink faucet was loose. Bathroom door didn’t latch properly. Free breakfast, however no meat/protein options available (it’s all grains, some yogurt, and coffee). Staff at the desk this morning initially seemed unapproachable but was very polite on key drop-off. Husband noted some water damage to the ceiling in the lobby/breakfast area. Overall the whole facility needs some renovating to fix the aforementioned issues, but I’m glad they had a clean room available so late. Paid $124 after fees and tax.

We enjoyed the stay here as the hotel is comfortable, clean, air conditioned and easy to find right off the Interstate. |We had no issues with noise from the road, so a good sleep is possible.|Right within walking distance are a number of eating places and gas station convenience stores. |The staff were friendly, and there is a decent breakfast.|Overall this is a good place to stop and stay while traveling through the area.

I will preface this by saying - you get what you pay for. At $74 a night, I wasn’t expecting much, but this was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Some of this isn’t the fault of the hotel itself - the location is horrendous - basically a truck stop with heavy loud traffic all night long. We stayed on a ground level room facing the street. However, this place is in serious need of updating. Scratches and crayon marks on the doors and walls, water stains on the towel holders, stains on the towels (I might add, way too small for a regular sized adult). Thankfully, the bed sheets appeared clean (first thing we checked). Unfortunately I got zero sleep due to the thin walls of the place and our neighbor blasting his tv the entire night, as well as what appeared to be an animal pee smell in the room. Guessing this place doesn’t allow pets but some were snuck in by a previous guest. The “continental breakfast” consists of basically mini muffins and mini bagels and toast with bland coffee and juice. Thought this would be fine with a one night stay, and this wasn’t booked by me personally, but if you’re looking to actually rest and are a light sleeper - spend the extra $50-100 for somewhere else.

I am very, very disappointed with this hotel. We made a reservation for a room with a queen bed. Not only did we get not get a queen bed, it was a full, the closet was screwed shut making it impossible to hang my clothing. The bathroom was damaged as well. The toilet came away from the wall and there was a hole in the shower. They charged me more for a full bed in a damaged room than they did another couple we traveled with who were given a much larger room with a king bed. This was a very, very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very dated, needs upgrades not well kept at all. The toilets are extremely low. As well as the sink. The included breakfast was a joke. Basically dirty everywhere inside and out. It needs a complete overhaul. The only good thing we can say, the bed was comfortable.

I can't thank the gal behind the desk enough! Even though I reserved my room for the wrong nights, she jumped through hoops to make it right for me! Room was clean, shower was hot and the beds weren't too bad. All in all I would recommend a stay here!

Positive: After being informed there was no elevator, the clerk who checked us in immediately changed us to a ground floor room. Negative: The room was cramped.it was a very noisy environment. The room charge was too high for the quality of the room. The "free breakfast" was a very poor offering.

The room was nice for the price. The downfall here was Lucas. An honest mistake was made somewhere between the morning front desk person and CLC, so my room was not extended as we had thought. Lucas called me and was extremely rude and unprofessional. Rather than work to resolve the problem he escalated the situation to the point of locking us out of our room, threatening to remove our belongings, threatening to call the police, and telling us that we were not welcome to stay another night. Furthermore her lied by telling me that CLC was closed for the weekend when I had just gotten off the phone with them and I know they are open 24/7. He then received the call and fax from CLC while I was on the phone. I have relayed my experience here to both my company and CLC so other truck drivers are warned if his unacceptable behavior. I hope the owner of the hotel sees this and measures are taken to prevent similar experiences in the future. We won't be back.
