Econo Lodge - Hotel in Calhoun - 915 Hwy 53, USA

Ive had to stay in a lot of hotels recently due to my boyfriends new job location. I’ve never had a problem at this place. The staff have always been super friendly and helpful . The rooms have always been clean and the beds are comfortable. The prices are great too.

I recently stayed at Econo Lodge , and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The room was impeccably clean, making me feel right at home the moment I walked in. The attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness was evident, and it made my stay incredibly comfortable. The customer service was top-notch. The staff went above and beyond to ensure all my needs were met, always with a friendly smile. Their professionalism and willingness to assist with any request truly stood out. Accessibility was also a major plus. The hotel’s location made it easy to get around the city, with convenient access to public transportation and nearby attractions. This made my trip not only enjoyable but also hassle-free. Lastly, I must commend the owners and staff for their genuine kindness and hospitality. They made me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay, adding a personal touch! . I highly recommend Econo Lodge to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

They are remodeling some of the rooms. The one I stayed in was good! Bed was comfortable, TV worked, fridge worked, quite, and room for me to park my truck!! They do not have breakfast or coffee or the amenities you would get a higher price hotel. I stayed on the bottom floor around back. They were very nice and accommodating! I'll stay again when I come back through

I stay here frequently because this is the best budget hotel in the Calhoun area. Everyone who works the front desk is friendly, helpful and have gone out of their way on several occasions to make my stay convenient and stress free. It is usually quiet at night, very seldom see people hanging out around the hotel properly who don't belong there and the property has an extensive security camera system I have never seen any suspicious activity while staying there. Beds are decent on the soft side, bedding and toiletries are minimal and need to be replenished by contacting the front desk Room has always been clean at check in. IThey also have a reasonable weekly rate (as hotels go) and a loyalty program when you book direct. I almost always use Priceline and seem to get the best available rate there.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK!!! We arrived at about 8:30pm looking for a place last minute to stay for the night. We were greater and booked into a room pretty quick and when we got in the room we noticed it was extremely hot even though the ac the was blasting. Everything look pretty new. The beds were nice the floors were nice, but as soon as we looked in the bathroom we noticed the vent…. Maybe…. Was fully duct taped, the toilet paper was almost all the way used, and the trash wasn’t taken out. As I was walking toward the dirty microwave I stepped on a roach…. We called the front desk and told them and they came and took a look and just gave us excuse after excuse. We just asked to move to a different room giving them the benefit of the doubt. The next room was EVEN HOTTER! let me tell ya we just came from Florida in July and it was hotter than that! Along with no towels and the smoke detector falling out of the wall.im guessing someone pulled the smoke detector out so the could smoke in there cause it smelled like cigarettes as well. We called them again to at least get the smoke detector fixed and I’m guessing the owners husband came in and said it still worked…. As it’s hanging out of the wall duct taped. We eventually just decided to turn in our keys and try and get a refund. They refused to give us a refund and just kept making excuses as to why the room was the way it was. All in all probably one of the most awful places I’ve ever been in. We actually went to a different place close by and talked to the front desk. They said they hear about it all the time and that they used to work for them. Saying the owners were cheap and refused to buy cleaning supplies for the room and to just use water. Do yourself a favor don’t pick the cheap motels just spend the $100 for a decent place to stay…

Overall the is great to stay when you are traveling. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only problem that I had was that the plug were not as easy access. But the place was clean inside and out

This was the worst experience, I wish that the reviews were more honest because I never would have wasted money if they were. Normally I don’t have a problem reading reviews and booking online however this place is misleading and if I wasn’t in a rush we never would have booked it. We walked in to our room and the trash was never emptied the room was hot and the room itself was just gross my husband stepped on a roach, we called the desk and they said “we don’t have roaches that’s just an outside bug”, they switched us rooms and the AC unit was off when we got in we were sweating and she turned it on and said it will cool off, we were in the room for maybe 20 minutes and still sweating. She said they’re all new rooms. The smoke detector was hanging out of the ceiling with tape on the back and it looked like a bag wrapped around the back, the room also smelled like cigarettes and it’s a non smoking room, the lady got her husband to come look at the detector and he never put it back up just pressed the button and said it was working. The room is still hot at this point. We left, never got even a partial refund and went across the street to the comfort inn. The comfort inn is 1000 times better, Lexi the front desk guy said he worked for the man across the street at another place and he quit because the guy was straight up too cheap to buy cleaning products and said he just uses water to clean stuff, that is absolutely disgusting. Do not go here, it’s not worth it, just go across the street.

The owner Tony is a good guy but why he is away the mice will play .I went there looking for somewhere to stay the night and it look like the walks needed painting we have 2 dogs and they say the place was pet friendly but there is nothing friendly about it when the first night they charge you a 20 dollar pet fee and after working all day in the hot sun for 10 hours and all you got is 69.00 you can spear for a room and then they tell you it's 20 dallers a dog and try and get you to pay 40 dollars for your pets that's 60 dollars in two days ,that enouph to get you some were for a 3ed night .it should only be one pet fee weather you. Pay buy the day or weather you pay buy the week .and there is nothing in econo lodge policy that says you must pay 20 dollar a pet .if your a pet friendly pets should be free . I never stay there again .
