Easton Tower - Historical place in Paramus - Easton Tower, Red Mill Rd, USA

Great place to unwind in a busy location, didn't expect it at all, very peaceful there's a few spots to fish also, very cool

Interesting history for the local area. There’s a phone number you can call and get an audio tour that lasts about five minutes. Off street parking is nice.

Quiet little spot that features a historical stone tower. It's tucked away next to the Saddle river pathway adjacent to rt4. Dates back to early 1900's and was part of the Easton estate. A sign on site instructs on how to access a phone tour that gives its entire history. The system works well. It's picturesque but there's really not much to do here but take a peek in the tower and grab a few photos. About 15 minutes should do it. No benches or facilities. There's a tiny parking lot. It's VERY tricky to access as the entrance is only accessible off of southbound Paramus road, immediately after making the right turn onto Red Mill rd, leading to eastbound rt4. Good luck. I drove in a circle figuring out how to access it. 😆

Wonderful historic site worth to be seen. It is located on a trail and if you need short rest just get here to see how people used to use water power in pre-industrial age. Went here with my son and he was pretty interested how it worked.

A historical palace on the saddle river pathway

Now that I've been there I wouldn't recommend going out of the way for a visit, but I'm glad I saw it up close after passing by it on the road all my life. It's a shell of a mill and nicely restored, but nothing spectacular.
