Eastgate Inn - Featured Reviews (231)
Always search “recent” reviews as I believe this Motel is under new management. Basic hotel so you get what you pay for. Our room was extremely clean- are all the fixtures brand new? No, but why replace if not broken? The bed had all new linens and the mattress was covered with all the correct covers to keep it clean. I brought my own pillow as I usually do (Cosy House Luxury Pillow 🥰). Shower was hot with good pressure. Bed was comfortable enough. Pillows were new. When we got back to Eastgate after having dinner at Schilling (amazing 🍕) we sat outside in the backyard and enjoyed the weather. We did not try the Motel’s breakfast. The two young gentleman that checked us in were very nice and professional. The motel is a short distance from downtown. I’d stay here again for the price or if in a pinch! Nothing to complain about!
We stayed here last night traveling through New Hampshire. We looked online and it said they were running a $89 special, but when we got there it was $139. Neither of us could sleep in the bed all night, we both experienced constant itching like we were being bit by bugs. The room was not clean at all and it looked to have blood on the table! Dirt on top of the heater/ac. Photos posted. We would not recommend or EVER stay there again! Just a bad experience overall!
Very nice place. The staff were extremely accommodating and eager to help as I kept adding to my stay waiting to close on my house. Room was good size and very clean! Loved the big bath towels! The back door of the room to the outside was a plus as I had my dog with me. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Basic run of the mill motel. Great backyard, super comfy bed, good sized TV. Teeny bathroom and offensive toilet paper positioning, lol. Solid water pressure, just really needed a table for working on, had to buy a TV table from Walmart. Fridge and microwave in the room were a big plus. Last weekend must have been a popular one for the White Mountains, because everything was incredibly pricy, including Eastgate, but comparatively the cost was ok.
To find EastGate so deteriorated was sad to me. We have stayed there so many times in the past. No, it wasn’t the Ritz but it was clean and comfortable. This time, the bathroom in the king size room was filthy with mold around the tub, and in the queen size room’s bath, several patches of black mold were beginning and the tub drain was full of blond hair….none of us is blond. We didn’t even bathe or shower (the shower curtains were terribly stained on the bottoms.) Further, the rooms were to have cost $109 each; instead, we were charged $129 for the queen, $139 for the king. This is $50 more! We will neither stay there again nor recommend this motel to friends. What a huge disappointment.
Exactly what you need in a motel. Very easily accessible, attentive and kind housekeeping staff. Adarsh, the man at the front desk, is the best. It's on the road but is also in a beautiful location, the back lawn (immediately accessible from the rooms!) is gorgeous. Had to stay here for a few weeks after a bad roommate situation went south; I will vouch, they will take care of you here.
Positive: Decent value for the area. Fairly basic no frills room was very clean. Felt a little old but well maintained. Negative: ""
Positive: The motel is centrally located and the price are reasonable. Nice breakfast items and neat dining area Negative: I had to have the smoke detector removed because it was beeping . It wasn't replaced the same day it was removed.
Honestly, the most beautiful antique store that I have been to. The owner has a brilliant eye, and it is loaded with exquisite MCM stuff. Wish that my house was big enough to accommodate everything. The prices are very fair. They obviously know
Walked here from our Airbnb and found the atmosphere to be one of the best we have experienced. Latte was also one of the best we have had on the east coast. We asked for dine in and got paper cups. Disappointed we didnât get real coffee cups. Almo
The food was delicious with amazing homemade whole wheat toast. But I really wish I could give the Service 10 out of 5 stars, because it was the best I've had in a LONG time (if ever). Owner, Jean McKenna, greets you at the door with a smile and is p
What a treat. Small, quaint dining room in historic building on Main Street. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was delicious and the chef delivered a number of the courses personally. Service was great.
We stopped for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Even though they are short staffed, we were greeted and quickly seated! Our orders were taken and the food came out quickly. If you love toast... get the homemade bread! I got a summertime special with ve
