East Rock Inn - Featured Reviews (67)
As advertised, a well appointed room with very comfortable bed and luxurious towels and bath products. Although small, the room was nicely laid out and access to outdoor space with Adirondack chairs and hammock a plus. Great location just minutes from Great Barrington main street and easy drives to Jacob’s Pillow and Lenox. Reasonably priced—a rare thing in the Berkshires!
We were impressed by our room at East Rock Inn. As advertised, the room was stylish, the beds were really comfy and bath products and towels luxurious. The setting is nice, with Adirondack chairs and a hammock available for outdoor sitting. Convenient location. A rare, reasonably priced find in the busy Berkshires. We’ll definitely return!
Loved our one night stay at East Rock. We were traveling home from Maine with two dogs. The motel was charming, cute and very technology forward--keyless check in and out, easy to operate smart tv (they even automatically sign you out of any apps at your check out), comfortable bed and more than enough outlets for all your electronics. Mini-fridge was a good size which helps when you have two adults and two dogs. Our dog friendly room was on the small size but the motel has other bigger rooms (lots of couples and families of 4 were staying the night we were there. Location is great, close to good restaurants and downtown Great Barrington. Even took a nice 2 mile+ hike which were able to access from across the street from the motel.
A very thoughtfully remodeled old-style motel. Lots of electrical plugs for charging all of our devices. A very good brand of instant coffee. Clean, quiet, set back from the road. Owners respond very promptly to text messages. The parking could not be more convenient, directly in front of the door to the room. We liked it so much that we booked again for two nights a week later.
My family and I stayed one night at the East Rock Inn and we found it comfortable, charming, clean, modern, and well run. The staff was able to get our room available for early check-in which helped us a lot. The towels were unbelievably soft. The air conditioner worked great. The rooms are simply furnished, but everything is new and in really good condition. It’s not fancy, but it’s very comfortable and absolutely met our needs. I wish it were a little closer to downtown Great Barrington, but otherwise, we had a great stay. Compared to an old, rundown motel, this place is a real gem.
This place was perfect for a couple's trip to Tanglewood. The location was convenient to restaurants and shopping as well as the concert venue. The "Double Queen Studio" was spacious enough. The room was cheerful, spotlessly clean, and everything worked well. The mini fridge was big enough to hold leftovers as well as drinks. The a/c was quiet and cooled the room quickly. ||At check-in time, I got an automated text with a code for the door lock, as well as good instructions for not having trouble with it; I followed them and didn't have any trouble.||The only improvements I'd suggest is that the room had everything you'd need except a box of tissues; there was plenty of toilet paper but sometimes you sneeze while the bathroom. Unless the management adds one, you might want to bring one. And since I got automated texts at check-in, it was surprising not to get one at checkout and I had to triple-check that I had entered the checkout code correctly. ||But those are very minor things and regardless of them this is now my top choice of place to stay for Tanglewood.
Perfect Berkshires getaway spot—comfortable bedding, cushy towels, hot showers, fridge. Clean, stylish, perfectly-located. Calming interior simplicity in cool slate and warm teal, with Adirondack chairs on the front lawn and mountain views in the back. Walk next door for Chinese food or drive minutes for neighborly spots (we had Greek and Mexican) or Main Street hip (for pizza and gotta-try-it ice cream). So many choices for culture, nature, quiet. Don’t miss Tanglewood and the indie book store (Book Loft) up the street! Definitely want to come back when the leaves change color… We LOVED East Rock Inn !
Mid-level accommodations are thin on the ground in this region, so East Rock Inn is a great addition. This is definitely still a motel in structure--rather loud ventilation systems and a view of one's car from the window-- but the mattresses and bedding are of very good quality and there are some great touches in the room such as a kettle, ceramic mugs, proper glassware, half and half, excellent brands of coffee and tea, and a larger refrigerator. I would certainly stay there again. The staff with whom I interacted were extremely prompt and pleasant. It's a big plus that the windows open to let in Berkshires fresh air!
After 50 years, it was great to be able to hike to the top of Monument Mountain again! There are several different trail options, although they are all uphill, but the view is well worth the hike!
Owners were lovely. They put up a nice fire for us on a chilly evening. The house feels old and cozy in a good way. Just a 10 minute walk to town. Weâd come back.
We had a delightful lunch outside. Nice place for lunch, take out, excellent sandwiches, delicious coffee. Great service. Reasonable prices. There is also a small shop inside. You will find something interesting and tasty of your choice - food, ol

We came here for breakfast and lunch time. I had the crab cake eggs Benedict with home fries and my wife had the grilled vegetable salad with salmon. They were both delicious Breakfast is served here all day
I decided to stop in the Berkshires for a few nights during a drive through New England. I chose this motel because of its rating and value. I called to inquire about availability when I was about 30 miles away. Crystal was very pleasant and offer
We stopped by The Well Restaurant and Bar today for a drink and a quick bite. And we are sure glad we did! Emily greeted us with a smile! She was our bartender and server as well. We ordered chicken tenders with Buffalo dipping sauce and the Go Green
We absolutely LOVED our dining experience at Cafe Adam. We stopped in for dinner at the bar in November while spending the weekend in the Berkshires. The staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable and went to great lengths to ensure we enjoyed
