East China Inn - Chinese restaurant in North Aurora - 915 Oak St, USA

I had the BBQ pork egg foo young. It was hot and delicious, the gravy was amazing. I enjoyed the egg drop soup and egg rolls too. Lunch special has a very reasonable price. The service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

This review is long overdue. I've been coming here for years and I will continue to do so. I absolutely love this place! The food is always wonderful and delicious. I've tried pretty much everything and always loved it. The staff is very nice, friendly, and accommodating. The place has a comfortable vibe to it. I especially love sitting in the back room. It has a very unique shape and feel to it. So highly recommend for outstanding Chinese food, great staff, and pleasant and inviting atmosphere.

This restaurant is AMAZING! Ben is the perfect server He anticipates your needs and exceeds them EVERY TIME! It does not matter what you order. I've been working my way through the menu, and it's all good. I even take home EXTRA EGG ROLLS. You get enough food for 2 meals. Thank you for being a neighborhood restaurant.

The wonton soup was nothing but chicken broth with four wontons in it, I asked for extra mustard and sweet-and-sour, and was given four packets of each, I ordered sweet and sour shrimp, and received a little container take everything with 1/4 cup sweet and sour sauce…. , The barbecued fried rice had barely any meat in it… It was more like just plain fried rice! I get that they cut back on things for lunch when you order the lunch special and items before dinner but what I got was definitely not worth what I paid which was 35+ dollars of food that we are sadly disappointed in. Will never use them again!

I have ordered here numerous times for take out and all dishes have been top notch: Mongolian Beef, Beef + Peapod, Beef + Broccoli, house specials and pork versions as well were all delicious. 1st time getting a side = Crab Rangoon was absolutely disgusting 😶 I hate losing $ but I literally ate 1 ½ on the way home and chucked the rest out the window, hopefully some wild animals can enjoy it?! WAY UNDERCOOKED and not super crunchy like most. It was definitely not up to par, it's sad to say. I'll stick to New China Hut on Orchard Rd.

So, couple of days ago, I ordered some food from East China Inn in North Aurora and they got my order wrong. I called and told them that they shortened my order but charged me $5 for it and $1 for adding chicken to the fried rice, but only 5 tiny pieces of chicken. The lady argued with me in a very nasty tone as if I did something wrong, like I was trying to get free food. I told her I was a frequent customer and good tipper and didn't appreciate the service. Seeing I wasn't getting a solution to the problem, I hung up. I wrote a negative response on the review. Later that night, an Asian lady showed up outside my house at 11pm at night yelling and acting ignorant. If she had of paid attention to my door, it warns you we have ADT. My daughter told her I'm calling the police and she left. I called the store mgr "Darren" if that's even his real name, and told him it was filmed and if it happens again, I will press charges and show the police the video. Not only that, all my neighbors have door videos. So now you're harassing customers who leave a bad review?? I will never frequent this place again. All could've been avoided when I asked for a refund which she refused to do.

1st time here recommended by a friend. Busy at 12noon but we got a booth! Lots of pick-up/ takeout too. Hot sour soup was delicious and on point. Egg drop soup was also very delicious. Vegetarian egg rolls fully packed. The lunch special of Mongolian beef with fried rice was a heaping serving for the price. We cannot wait to go back highly recommend!

First time at East China Inn and I wasn’t disappointed! I am very picky with eating Chinese food but I would definitely return. The food portions were VERY large and affordable. They bring the food out on separate dishes and the rice in a bowl. Then, you have an eating plate which allows you to share the dishes with those you came with. Didn’t think I’d like that at first but it was actually really nice to be able to try different types of dishes. The meat was EXCEPTIONALLY great. The beef practically peeled apart it was so tender. One thing: I will say their white rice wasn’t the best. It was decent but not the best.
