East Bay Inn - Historic Inns of Savannah - Featured Reviews (527)
Very cool hotel in an old building right on the river. We were greeted with a friendly, warm smile upon arrival with plenty of great suggestions for our visit. The room made great use of the small space and was very comfortable and clean. Housekeeping staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, including clean towels. Parking was very convenient. A great option to the larger, more expensive, chain hotels.
Jennifer Williams extended warm southern hospitality in full measure throughout our stay! The rooms were gorgeous and the real deal. Hillary at the on-site Tandem bar served up a couple of great pours of Guinness and sent us off with directions to The Chive for mussels. We got sidetracked at The Olde Pink House for a delicious stuffed grouper and a bottle of wine at the bar downstairs. Breakfast was downstairs at Debi’s with Debi stopping by our table to check on us. Her grits are absolutely delicious! Cant say enough good things about our time at East Bay Inn in Savannah.
Absolute best experience possible! The Inn itself is amazing - truly beautiful and well kept. Our room was so lovely and comfortable! The location can't be beat - right in the heart of the historic district and River Street. Practically everything is within walking distance. Parking is included, as well as wine/beer, bottled water for your room, and Savannah specific snacks left in your room each day! But, the thing that made this a truly excellent experience was the STAFF! I am a frequent traveler and I've never met hotel staff THIS FRIENDLY and helpful. Every single staff member we encountered, from the front desk people to maintenance to the wonderful lady who cleaned our room to the bartender - ALL were cheerful, helpful, and so welcoming and kind! This will be the place we stay on all future trips to Savannah!
We stayed for two nights to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Our room was ready when we arrived, and minutes after getting to our room, a complimentary bottle of champagne was delivered to help us celebrate! Our room was perfect. The bar downstairs was a great place to end the day (free draft beer for my husband and a discount on mixed drinks for me!) the location was perfect. We were able to walk to the historic squares and were a cobblestone ramp away from River Street. I would 100% stay here again and again.
Boutique hotel right across the river and steps to Reynolds Square. In walking distance to many places. Water, soda, coffee, tea available 24/7. Rooms with high ceiling, lots of natural light, comfortable king bed. Newly renovated bathrooms.
This is a charming old hotel. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The hotel also has a charming restaurant which serves breakfast and lunch. However, if you’re looking for a healthy meal, forget it! Can’t even get oatmeal here. Head over to the Hyatt for that. Complimentary Wine is served to the guests in the evening in the bar. The bartenders are friendly and know how to make a delicious Espresso martini. Those are the positives. However, this hotel can use a thorough cleaning. The carpeting in our room was filthy. When my friend wiped the bottom of her feet with the white towel, the towel was black (I should have photographed this). I tend to tip the cleaning staff every morning because I’m never sure if we’re going to get the same woman. I left a five dollar bill for her before we left for the day. We were shocked to find out she took the five dollar bill and left us bottled water and that was it! we were told at the front desk that the cleaning staff is supposed to make the beds, bring in fresh towels, and clean the room, including the bathroom. They didn’t do this. They were sent back to our room to do the job they were supposed to do in the first place. Would I return to this hotel. No, which is a pity.
Warm welcome, great location, and beautiful rooms guarantee we will be back on our next stop through Savannah. Also, it’s so great to be able to park beside the building.
The East Bay Inn was a delightful discovery in the Savannah historic district. Seeking a unique experience beyond the typical chain hotels, I found that EBI truly delivered. Despite the pricing being slightly higher than I had anticipated, the experience and the chance to be immersed in the history of this fantastic town made it worthwhile.||||The staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience.
What a gem. This is a total find. The apartment is very large and has everything you need for a comfortable visit. We were two friends, so I used the sofa bed as an extra room. It worked very well - itâs big and comfortable and, if you ask, theyâ
Was traveling through and had the privilege of working out with a fun and talented group. The online sign up was super easy, was able to sign my waiver and reserve a class in a jiff. The gym was conveniently located and a quick walk from my hotel. T
