West Point Lake is a great family 👪 location to BBQ, play on a man made beach, enjoy the sun and air.... fish, and watch the many boats pass by. Update July 2022: Great place again to visit, relax, enjoy family 👪 and friends time together... playing in the water 💧 😌 and having a peaceful day. People are great!
Love this place. It has a beach, picnic tables and swimming area.
Loved that we had plenty of space, not overcrowded. Lots of patrol cars made us feel safe. Only dislike was all the trash washed up on the shore but that's not necessarily their fault. We had a great Memorial day!
Awesome beach with gradual entry into the lake. The water is warm, clean(sandy) & calm. The sand is perfect for making sand castles. My kids are calling it there own private beach since we've had the place to our selves all week long! I highly recommend this place!
I don't have kids, my kids are dogs. The beach isn't that large so in the evening, after everyone left we took the dogs over to the beach because the other swimming/picnic areas aren't cleared of algae and other debris that make the experience very unpleasant. And the dogs aren't allowed in the beach area, so we didn't enjoy the lake..if changes are made, it would greatly benefit that specific public lake access. Pretty much, it's the only dog friendly lake access and it's barely, BARELY dog friendly.
This recreation area is a hidden gem. I grew up on this lake but only discovered this park yesterday. I love it. The beach is located in a small peaceful cove with restrooms, tennis court, basketball, pavilions, and picnic areas. Trails for hiking and site seeing.

Poor launch area design. No dock adjacent to launch ramp. You must leave your vehicle and trailer on the ramp (causing other launchers to have to wait) get in boat, crank her up and drive boat around to a dock on the other side, then try not to get your boat scratched up from exposed metal along the edges of the dock. Otherwise a nice family picnic area!

We were on a getaway and wanted to enjoy the lake, so we drove around and found this spot. Absolutely lovely and peaceful. It was a beautiful day and the area was clean. Would definitely go back to relax, again.
We loved our tour of Bellevue Manor. It was fun and insightful. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and told us of other places to visit while in La Grange.
Go here now! Delicious! Exceptional Ribs and sweet mustard sauce, and baked beans! Very good fried okra, crispy lemon pepper wings. Kids had a hot dog and tenders. Casual order at the counter place. Will definitely return any time weâre in LaGrange

Awesome venue for a baby shower! What a great experience:) Tina was so great to work with and the staff during the shower were so nice, helpful, and constantly asking what we might need. Plenty of space for our 25!
Had a nice lunch today after the storms. Curry soup, tomato basil soup and half a grilled cheese. Comfort food- check. Will continue to work Our way thru the menu.

The chicken is hot fresh and even though it is fried it is not greasy. It does not have a ton of breading on it. First time eating here. If I lived in the city I would eat here every day. Really really good. Highly recommended
