This is a large (200 +/- sites) Campground on the edge of town. We were warmly greeted and escorted to our site. There is enough variety of spots for most travelers from tent sites (grass) to modest cabins and everything in between. Some of the sites are populated by folks that live there but unlike many places the RVs were well maintained and presentable. The mostly level gravel sites are off gravel access roads with convenient hookups that functioned properly. Good cable tv, their included WiFi was good always providing a signal that was useful, Verizon cell service was good. Their laundry room was clean and most of the machines were operable.
This was one of our favorite camping spots on our six week vacation to Alaska. While at the campground, Bear provided Melissa sockeye salmon that was freshly caught for her birthday. When we make it back to Haines, Alaska, in the future, we will most definitely camp at the spot again. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Your friends from Colorado. Best, Gary.
If you like the feeling of being in a sardine can, this is the place for you. They have everyone crammed into spaces. Lanes so narrow, with all of the big rigs, hard to manuever. Absolutely no privacy. I gave it a 2 star because of location & view.
The cabin was really nice could use a bit more hot water with 3 people took awhile to get showers.
The cleaning service was grab the wet towel drop off clean towels and leave.
Had to go to office for toilet paper, trash cans never emptied.
All and all I will definitely be back.
The view amazing!!!
Walking distance to most places.
We stayed two nights in June 2023, camping. Great experience. You weren’t bothered at all. There was a worker, adult man with a grey bear running around with a golf cart, and he was the best!!!! I can’t express how nice he was with us and his partner too.
Totally recommend this park!!
Absolutely lovely cabin with a great location right in the middle of town, close to everything. The cabin has everything you need in it and is really well designed. Really enjoyed my stay there, thanks so much Eagle's rest!!!
I've been staying at the Eagles Rest for decades and I will not be coming back. I was charged an extra fee for adding one night to my 6 day stay because the campground was "full". The campground was not full, nor was it full the following day.
Perfect little camping spot with really nice and very clean facilities. You can tell that these guys really pride themselves in taking care of this RV park. Customer service is excellent. Thank you!

John helped us park our camper and set up our kiosk tent cover. He helped with some small repairs and made sure we had a full propane tank. The showers are immaculate. Nice laundry area too, reasonable fees. We will definitely come here again. W
Perfect! The location is wonderful, close to the harbor, walking distance to pretty much everything. We ended up walking to the Safeway and subway near by and the street has a lot of food options. We were able to park our rv, and hook it up to sewer,

Went out for chickens due to windy weather, on the Lena Claire. Captain Will absolutely smashed it. He made the experience absolutely amazing. He knew how to read the water / currents and move us when needed to keep us on the fish. Definitely recomme
Amazing, definitely stop by. We saw a million salmon and sea lions were feasting away. Watch by the shore or you can also do a self-guided tour outside and watch videos and learn about the hatchery. Very cool experience. I came once in the early afte
This might make me less highbrow than a standard museum goer, but I like my museums with more of a fun and fascinating factor over historical detail. This place is brimming with wow moments but sometimes lacks heaps of background knowledge. The displ
Worth a visit! Yes, Valdez is an amazing outdoor destination. But the museum presents the history of the place and the resilience of the people there. Gold rush, earthquakes, tsunami, fishing, shIpping, oil, and just terrific displays of histo
Best hotel in Valdez with the newest modern rooms. Indoor pool is great for kids after a full day of travel. Contental breakfast is a perfect way to start the morning.
Definitely a nice spot in Valdez to eat. Hot and sour soup was tasty. Sushi was fresh and well made. Tongâs chicken portion was also generous and well made. Service was good. Menu pictures attached.
